Dangerous substances are in the barracks in several towns and military facilities "Sasovici", "Pristan", "Lepetani"
The Ministry of Defense has suspended the procedure of public procurement of services for the collection and neutralization of more than 100 tonnes of dangerous substances worth 70,000 euros.
As stated in the explanation available on the Public Procurement Portal, this procedure was suspended because no valid bid was submitted.
The only one who applied for this tender was "Hemson" from Bar, but their offer was assessed as invalid.
According to the tender documentation, the tenderer should have been obliged to take over all dangerous substances from the vessels in the bar in Bar, from the barracks in Bar, Danilovgrad, Golubovci and Niksic and military facilities "Sasovici", "Pristan", "Lepetani" and "Kapino Polje".
It is added that from the call for waste collection it can not last more than five days, and the quantity ordered may not be less than five tons.
The Tender Documentation states that the Ministry has determined that the deadline for submission of bids should be shortened from 37 to 22 days due to the "sudden occurrence of an increase in the amount of hazardous waste materials", so it is necessary "to remove the existing waste materials more urgently in order to free up the available capacities for the accommodation of newly born dangerous substances ".
The contractor was supposed to remove 100 tons of bilge water with oil from the anchorage in Bar, more than 10 kilograms of medicines and narcotics with expired deadlines, 470 kg chemicals used for medical purposes in Danilovgrad, 235 kg of air-oil with expired shelf life.
From the military facility "Pristan" it was necessary to remove 11.700 liters of accumulative acid of the expired shelf life, 500 kg of chemical and radiation decontamination equipment in the Golubovci barracks, 31.50 liters of paraffin oil of the expired shelf life in the barracks in Danilovgrad, etc.
