Work Detail |
The consortium wants to realize 11,500 m2 of commercial space in Hof van Holland (shops, catering, services), 450 homes and the corresponding parking facilities. For the housing corporations Talis and Portaal, a total of 100 homes are being built in the area. There will also be land-based (city) homes, owner-occupied and rented apartments. In total, some 8,000 homes are planned in Waalsprong .
The plan of AM and VanWonen, entitled Hart van de Waalsprong, finally came out on top and received the provisional award. The assessment committee is very pleased with the design of the plan, the architecture and the integration into the environment. The smart parking solutions, the design of the public space and the sustainability of the plan also score highly. VanWonen previously bought 47 land positions from AM in the north-east of the Netherlands .
Councilor Noël Vergunst: Hof van Holland becomes the functional and social heart of the Waalsprong, where shops, social services, living, working and a beautiful public space are combined. It becomes a place where you can not only do your shopping, but where it is nice to stay and people can meet. As far as is known, this will be the first completely energy-neutral shopping center in the Netherlands.
The consortium expects to start construction at the beginning of 2020. In 2021, the first phase of the shopping center will be completed, in 2024 the entire plan is expected to be ready. It is the intention that a temporary supermarket will be realized until the first phase of the shopping center is opened.
There is a provisional award. The party who has lost weight has twenty days to object to the decision. Then the award is final and the development combination can purchase the land, develop the plans further and apply for the permits. Brink Management / Advies assists the municipality in the tendering procedure, in which, in consultation with the participating consortia, the plan has been optimally implemented.
