| Work Detail | Surveillance team of Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco) conducted raids in different areas and nabbed 143 more power pilferers. According to details 13 electricity stealers were caught in the areas of Khyber Circle in Pabbi-1 sub-division including tampered meter of a stone factory. Similarly, in the areas of Peer Pai sub-division 9 power stealers nabbed including slow meters of two Afghan camps. Similarly, in the areas of Batkhela sub-division 1, in the areas of Dargai sub-division 22, in the areas of urban Swat sub-division 2, in the areas of Mingora sub-division 5, in Chakdara sub-division 13, in the area of Warai sub-division 8 and in the area of Timargara sub-division 10 power pilferers including Gulistan Bakers, Altaf General Store, Delawar Tailor Warai, Mavia Hotel Mingora, Al-Janat bakery Swat, Sadat Stone and Ice Factory. Furthermore, in the areas of Gumbala sub-division 6 direct tube well connections were nabbed including direct connection of 9 tube wells and water supply scheme in the areas of Sarai Naurang sub-division. During the checking in the areas of both Hazara Circles 25 electricity stealers nabbed in Nawansher City, Abbotabad sub-division, 18 power pilferers including petrol pumps, ice cream machine, Wahid marble factory and other marble factories nabbed in the area of Jinnahabad sub division. Pesco spokesman said that drive against illegal use of electricity and direct hooks will continue and warned power pilferers once again for the stoppage of power pilferage in the larger interest of the nation, due to which Pesco has to face financial losses on one hand and overload whole distribution system on the other and the general public faces inconvenience of frequent power breakdowns. |
