Work Detail Parsons Rouchleau Mine Bridge project wins Diamond Partnering Award Parsons Corporation recently won the International Partnering Institute’s (IPI) 2018 John L. Martin Partnered Project of the Year Award for their work on the Rouchleau Mine Bridge project in Minnesota, USA. The project won the Diamond Award in the civil construction category for projects valued between $25 million and $250 million. Parsons designed the new 1,100 foot weathering steel plate girder bridge for the Minnesota Department of Transportation to connect the mining towns of Virginia and Eveleth. Working with the contactor and a partnering facilitator, their team demonstrated successful partnering by resolving project challenges, which saved US$8 million to US$10 million in project costs and shaved five weeks off the schedule. IPI’s Partnered Project of the Year Award is given to projects that best exemplify the principles of partnering to transform the construction industry and achieve exceptional results through a culture of collaboration.
