Global Switch, a data centre services provider with a strong presence across Europe and Asia Pacific, has broken ground on a new build in Frankfurt, expanding its existing site in the German financial capital.
The project, Frankfurt North, will cost around $130mn to complete and site adjacent to Global Switch’s existing Frankfurt South data centre, which will be renovated to complement the exterior of the new building.
When complete in 2019 it will offer 11,000sqm of gross space and 14MVA of utility power, doubling the capacity of the campus.
