Liputan6.com, Jakarta - The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources ( MEMR ) signed a contract four blocks of oil and gas (oil) with a gross revenue share split scheme. Block oil and gas ended cooperation contract in 2019 and 2020.
Director General of Oil and Gas at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Djoko Siswanto, said that this is a joint extension of joint management between old contractors with PT Pertamina (Persero) with a term of 20 years.
"Of the Interest Participation contracts (participation rights) owned by the contractors include the 10 percent Interest Participation to be offered to Regional Owned Enterprises (BUMD)," said Djoko, at the Office of the ESDM Ministry, Jakarta, Wednesday (11/7/2018) ).
Secretary General of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Ego Syahrial, said the signing of the contract is done well before the contract expires. This is to make the planning of oil and gas block management more mature so as to increase and maintain oil and gas production.
"For our purpose, that is production can be maintained or enhanced. The principle of this extension of the spirit is to maintain or increase production," said Ego.
Ego continued, by increasing oil and gas production will make state revenues from upstream oil and gas activities increased, as well as contractor profits are also much better. Meanwhile, the application of oil and gas gross split will affect the efficiency of oil and gas operations.
"The principle of managing this can provide better state revenue, but also the KKKS can benefit better," he said.
