PARTIZÁNSKE. More than half a century old building of Grammar School in Partizánsky will be complete reconstruction for more than a million euros. For this purpose, the Trencín Self-Governing Region (TSK) will receive funding from the fund of the European Union as the founder of the school, informed Matej Plánek from the Department of Communication and International Relations of the TSK.
"This years Grammar School celebrates the 65th anniversary of its founding, and under its appearance it has signed the tooth of time. Until now, the school has undergone only minor reconstructions, such as repairing the electrical installation on the second floor or repairing social facilities, "said Vladimír Karásek, director of the school.
The non-repayable financial contribution (NFP) to the project of reducing the energy intensity of the Partizánske Gymnasium in the amount of more than EUR 1 170 000 was approved by the TSK Managing Authority within the Operational Program Quality of the Environment. The reconstruction of the school will be co-financed by the TSK, amounting to nearly 60,000 euros.
"The aim of the project is to improve the schools energy savings through complete insulation of the building, the installation of plastic windows instead of wooden ones and the replacement of old entrance doors with aluminum. Heat insulation and new roofing will also get the roof of the school. A new drainage system will be part of the roof restoration, "outlined TSKs Head of Regional Development, Martina Lamacková.
In the construction works he will be installed ventilation with heat recovery in the classrooms and gymnasium or installation of heat pump for heating for the purpose of gymnastics, where at the same time change all lights with new LED technology.
The threshold for a renewed and more modern school could be exceeded by Partizanski grammar school students next year. " We launched the public procurement together with submitting a NFP application. If the Slovak Innovation and Energy Agency approves the public procurement, a works contract will be signed and the construction works will commence in the school ", Lamacková added.
For the last four years, TSK has invested approximately 400,000 euros in the partisan grammar school. The electrical wiring, hygienic facilities and modernized natural science laboratories were renovated at the school. "After the planned reconstruction of the school, the gymnasium will become an energy-saving school with heat pumps and the recuperation principle in individual classrooms, thus maximizing energy savings and operating costs," he added.
