The local production of the agro-chemical products is expected to constantly make the products available to farmers at affordable prices. Export will also be made to other countries in the West African sub-region. This was made known by the Manager of Aboboyaa Company ltd, Mr. John Asare, in an interview with this reporter in Kumasi during which he also highlighted on the past achievements of the company. He said the plan to start the manufacture of agro-chemical products in the country will also lead to the creation of jobs for the youth and also contribute to the overall social and economic development of the country. Aboboyaa was recently adjudged as the best Ashanti Regional Agro-input dealer in the bronze category at the 13th Ashanti Business Excellence Awards for the company’s contribution to the socio-economic development of people in the agric sector. Mr. Asare said the award was also in recognition of the record breaking supplies of agro-chemical products by Aboboyaa Company ltd from January up to August this year and management of the company have been spurred by the recognition to do more. He took the opportunity to advise the youth to be inspired by the hard work, dedication to duty, fear of God and humility exhibited by the CEO of Aboboyaa, Mr. Gideon Seidu, to also excel in their endeavours. “There are obviously no short-cut to riches and fame and the commitment exhibited by Mr. Seidu has clearly attested to the time tested saying that ‘hard work pays’” the manager said. He urged the youth to believe in their vision and trust God to guide them through the journey of life without resorting to any smart means to get rich. “Brighter future awaits all of us if we are patient enough to wait” he added. Mr. Seidu, who started the Aboboyaa Company ltd, rose from humble beginnings to become a potent force to be reckoned with in the agro-input industry in the West African sub-region.
