Germantown Road, Kentucky 3056 will be closed where it meets Kentucky 9 AA Highway, north of Maysville for the next two weeks, officials with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet said Friday. The closing comes as contractors build a new intersection for the Transportation Cabinet’s AA Highway widening project. Beginning Monday, Sept. 12, contractors will close Kentucky 3056 at mile marker 0, and detour all traffic. Motorists should follow detour signs along the AA Highway to U.S. 68 (Clyde Barbour Parkway) east to return to Kentucky 3056 where it crosses the parkway, Allen Blair with the cabinet''s District 9 office said. The closure will last approximately two weeks, or until work is complete on the new Kentucky 3056 tie-in at the AA Highway. The closure is part of the $18 million AA Highway widening project. Road work schedules are subject to change depending on weather conditions. Motorists are asked to heed all warning signs, slow down in work zones and remain aware of workers and construction equipment when traveling. |
