La Plata Mayor Julio Alak led the official formation of the El Rincón Community Council , a key step in the municipal decentralization process that seeks to strengthen neighborhood participation. During the ceremony, he announced an ambitious public works plan for the area, which includes paving 40 blocks, installing LED lighting, and improving educational institutions . The interventions are part of the Public Works and Urban Maintenance Plan being implemented in various locations in the La Plata district. Planned works in El Rincón The plan includes a comprehensive set of infrastructure interventions: Repaving of 40 blocks Construction of 41 new streets : 6 with curb gutter 10 with asphalt layer 25 with improved land Renovation of 1,800 existing light fixtures Installation of new lighting on 17 streets Improvements to Pedagogical School No. 1 , located at 428th and 25th Among the streets that will be intervened are: 428th Street between 25th and 31st 426th Street between General Belgrano Road and 26th Street Sections of 23rd to 30th Street between 428th and 429th Streets 137th Street between 428th and Diagonal 430th, including the construction of a vehicular and pedestrian bridge Neighborhood participation and urban planning During his speech, Alak stressed the importance of the new Communal Board: It will allow residents, together with local institutions, to raise their demands and, together with the Municipality, define priority actions for the growth of the neighborhood and improving the quality of life. He also emphasized that this is a very significant neighborhood investment plan that will substantially improve urban infrastructure and traffic in El Rincón.
