Work Detail EXCLUSIVE: BNetzA to run dynamic bidding auction on 16 June Germany has received two bids in the 1GW tender for a North Sea offshore wind site, according to the Federal Network Agency BNetzA, writes Maria Grabar. The identity of the bidders for the N-9.4 zone was not disclosed. Both bids offer a value of zero cents per kilowatt hour, a spokesperson for the agency told reNEWS. “The Federal Network Agency intends to conduct the dynamic bidding procedure starting on 16 June 2025,” a spokesperson added. Launched on 2 June, the tender offers 1GW of installable capacity across an area of 146 km² in German waters. The project at the N-9.4 site will connect to the BalWin5 offshore grid, which will be built by TenneT and is expected to go into operation in 2033. This is the first tender to introduce the “overplanting” rule, which allows the installed capacity to exceed the associated grid connection capacity by up to 20%.
