The latest deal in Spain brings Greenvolts total asset sales in 2025 to €530m. Greenvolt Group, a renewable energy company within the KKR portfolio, has agreed to divest a 231MW wind and solar project portfolio in Spain to Transiziona, owned by White Summit Capital. The transaction, valued at €195m ($222.2m), encompasses a forward sale of projects with a combined capacity of 145MW and a greenfield platform with an additional capacity of 86MW. This latest deal in Spain brings Greenvolt Group’s total asset sales in 2025 to €530m, following previous disposals of utility-scale projects in Poland worth €333m. Greenvolt is executing its strategy to rotate 70% to 80% of its large-scale projects to ready-to-build or commercial operation date phases, with a 13.2GW pipeline across 18 countries and a target to reach 5.3GW ready-to-build by the end of 2025. Greenvolt Group CEO João Manso Neto stated: “This transaction in Spain, which follows recent divestments in Poland, clearly demonstrates Greenvolt’s ability to develop large-scale renewable projects at various stages and across different technologies. These projects attract market interest and enable us to capitalise on our asset rotation strategy, while continuing to build a robust project pipeline.” Greenvolt Power, also part of Greenvolt Group, recently agreed to sell a 33.2MW wind farm portfolio in Poland to Enea Nowa Energia for €83.3m. |
