Progress continues on the drinking water supply project for the Los Barrancos area in the department of Godoy Cruz , with the opening of the bidding envelopes for the second phase of the project . The project, key to supporting the urban development of the western sector of the department, will be financed with resources from the Compensation Fund and has an official budget of $2.499 billion . The bidding process was held at the headquarters of Aguas y Saneamiento Mendoza (Aysam) , with the participation of the companys bidding department and representatives from the Undersecretariat of Infrastructure and Territorial Development . In total, six companies submitted economic bids to carry out the work. The project has a 300-day execution period and its objective is to guarantee access to drinking water in an expanding area, especially in the future urbanization of the basin known as Ex Autodromo Los Barrancos , where the Municipality is promoting a residential Master Plan . The planned works include the installation of a water supply pipeline , which will connect the existing infrastructure with new developments, ensuring a comprehensive and sustained supply of water . In addition, complementary works associated with the reservoir system will be carried out, particularly around the reservoir located on Segundo Sombra Street . The project is part of a strategic infrastructure plan that will support the urban growth of western Godoy Cruz, improving access to essential services for future residents and promoting the balanced development of the area.
