The Municipality of La Plata launched a series of comprehensive works in the town of Villa Elisa as part of its Public Works and Urban Maintenance Plan , which includes interventions on more than 2,000 city blocks. In this phase, the work focuses on road improvements, expanded street lighting, and the renovation of educational facilities . In the road sector, repaving work has begun on 415 bis Street between 1st and 3rd Streets , and on 3rd Street from 415 bis to 419th Streets , with the goal of improving traffic and connectivity in the area. In addition, the construction of 95 new streets is planned , divided into 20 with curb and gutter, 46 with asphalt pavement, and 29 with granular stabilized pavement, which will facilitate access to neighborhoods and optimize internal traffic. The plan also includes a significant reinforcement of the urban lighting system , with the repair of 5,600 street lights , the lighting of 65 streets and the renovation of the lighting in Luis Castells Square , which will also be enhanced with improvements to urban facilities. In the educational arena, improvements to the buildings will begin in the coming days at Municipal Kindergarten No. 14 and Secondary School No. 67 , ensuring adequate and safe conditions for the school community. These interventions are part of a restoration plan for 80 educational institutions promoted by the municipality. Renovation work is also progressing at Technical School No. 2, Primary School No. 17, Secondary School No. 28, and Special School No. 536 , located in the same town. The projects include structural work, service renovations, and accessibility and safety improvements. The execution of this package of works is complemented by similar actions already being developed in other parts of the La Plata district such as Villa Elvira, Los Hornos, San Carlos, Romero, San Lorenzo, Tolosa, Etcheverry, Correas, Gorina and Hernández , consolidating a comprehensive plan that aims to improve urban infrastructure and raise the quality of life in the neighborhoods . |
