Summary Of The Opportunity1.1 Overviewinterested Suppliers Are Invited To Submit A Response To This Call For Responses (Cfr) For The Opportunity To Be Awarded An Master Standing Arrangement (Msa) Tosupply Mobility Devices And Durable Medical Equipment (Each As Further Defined In Appendix A) And Provide Associated Services To End-Users On Behalf Of The Province And Participating Entities.Mobility Devices Include, Amongst Other Things, (I) Powered Wheelchairs (Including Batteries And Backrests); (Ii) Wheelchair Tilt/Recline Systems; (Iii) Manual Wheelchairs (Standard And Custom); (Iv) Power Scooters (Including Batteries); And (V) Commercial Wheelchair Seating Systems, Meaning Commercially Available Items That Provide Positioning In A New Or Existing Mobility Device And All Related Components Including Any Custom Or Modified Items Used To Complete And Install These Systems.Durable Medical Equipment Includes, Amongst Other Things, (I) Hospital Beds And Pressure Relief Mattresses; (Ii) Lifting Devices/Slings; (Iii) Bathroom Aids Such As Commodes/Safety/Transfer Bench And Similar Products; And (Iv) Alternate Positioning Devices, Ambulatory Aids, Therapy Equipment (Balls/Mats Etc.), Specialized Paediatric Car Seats And Strollers, And Aids For Daily Living, Which Includes Grab Bars, Handrails, Super Poles And Threshold Ramps.The Associated Services Include Sales, Rentals, Servicing Mobility Devices And Durable Medical Equipment, Training End-Users, Providing Demonstrations, Arranging Trials, Performing Repairs, And Providing Maintenance, All Of Which Are More Fully Described Throughout This Cfr And Relevant Appendices.Msas Or Master Standing Agreements (Msas) Are Currently In Place With Approximately 16 Incumbent Contractors Throughout British Columbia. The Regions Are Shown In Section 5.1.1.The Entire Province Of British Columbia Is Included Within The Scope Of This Cfr And The Resulting Msas – No Communities With The Province Are Exempt. The Contractor Will Be Expected To Supply The Range Of Mobility Devices And Durable Medical Equipment, And Related Services Described In This Cfr To All Communities Within The Region(S) For Which The Contractor Has Been Awarded An Msa.Any Prospective Respondent Interested In Being Awarded An Msa For More Than One Region Must Submit One Response That Includes One Appendix C: General Response Form (Or A Substantially Similar Equivalent) And One Appendix D: Regional Response Form (Or A Substantially Similar Equivalent).There Will Be No Maximum Number Of Msas Awarded For Any Particular Region.1.1.4 Pricingfunders Will Fund Mobility Devices And Durable Medical Equipment In Accordance With Each’S Legislation, Regulation, Internal Policies, Or Internal Procedures (As Applicable), Typically Up To A Maximum Amount For A Given Need Or Mobility Device Or Item Of Durable Medical Equipment, Subject To Certain Additional Conditions Described Further In The Cfr, In Appendix B: Contract Form, And In Such Relevant Enactments, Policies, Or Procedures As Those Funders May Publish From Time To Time.Contractors Will Be Expected To Provide Funded Mobility Devices And Durable Medical Equipment To End-Users At Pre-Determined Rates For Pricing, Set In Relation To Manufacturers’ Suggested Retail Prices (Each An “Msrp”) And At A Discount Set And Required By The Msa.
