Quotation are invited for Appointment of a Service Provider to Provider Clear-Felling Steep Area Operation PROJECT DESCRIPTION AND BACKGROUND Tweefontein Plantation is situated in Sabie, Mpumalanga.. We currently require the services of a clear felling contractor to work on the steep areas in the plantation, the service provider must produce volume of 3200m3 in clear felling for the plantation. 2. SCOPE OF WORK Clear felling will be carried out by the service provider in required products according the clients and KLF`s specifications. Service provider will be required to prepare timber for roadside sales. The required work will be mainly clear-felling trees with a tree volume of: Clear felling (average 0.900m3) for 3200m3 . The rate must be VAT exclusiveThe required work will consist of the following: Steep areas clear fell Fell, debranch, log scale and x cut of trees into required products Stacking of separate products into required stacks sizes at roadside All work will be according to the KLF policies and procedures available from the harvesting 2.1 Required specification for the requested work: Only trained and certified chainsaw operators by an accredited training facility will be allowed on KLF plantations to perform the work, certificates to be provided Transport to comply to all required policies and procedures Appropriate PPE for all team members Trained first aider and SHE rep with valid certificate and first aid box Immediate availability to commence work as soon as possible Minimum wage and more to be paid to employees Previous experience of harvesting Previous experience of thinnings and similar projects will be advantageous Experienced supervision Required equipment in good condition to perform the work Tender Link : https://www.safcol.co.za/opportunities/procurement-opportunities/
