Tenders are invited for Consultants for Training on Applied Digital Literacy - Crowdfunding and Digital Security for Partner Organizations Closing Date: Friday, 18. Apr 2025 Intervention Sector(s): Advocacy & Awareness, Coordination & Information management, Development, Safety and Security, Women Status & Issues Remuneration range: 3000 to 4000 (USD) Duration of Contract: 6 months CRTD.A is a feminist organization based in Beirut, Lebanon and works in Lebanon and with sister organizations in Arab countries in the MENA region. CRTDA works towards upholding social justice through the lens of gender equality. Areas of work include Women Economic Rights and Active Citizenship. FemPawer Program The program Feminist Power in Action for Womens Economic Rights (FemPawer) aims to strengthen the capacities of Womens Rights Organizations and young women who face economic gender-based violence discriminations in Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, and Tunisia to become leaders for change. By holding duty bearers accountable and improving conditions for young women in the informal sector through target-led activities, the program ensures that discriminated young women become advocates for their own rights and propose relevant solutions and recommendations. The FemPawer program focuses on strengthening leadership, challenging discriminatory social norms, and promoting womens economic rights. The partner organization network is a joint coalition of 8 projects of FemPawer Program in Lebanon. The joint work started by the end of 2023 when the POs agreed on the necessity of working together following a period of backlash and political volatility, the network evolved during 2024 in the areas of knowledge sharing, in addition to participating in the scheduled consortium activities that were implemented in the same year. The PO network joined the young women network and the emerging young men network as the structural foundation for joint work in 2025. Digital Security An essential component of basic capacity building in digital literacy conducted in 2023 for the POs and other FemPawer constituencies, however, there is a need for in-depth knowledge on the topic including access to resources on continuous follow up on new trends. Digital Crowdfunding Digital Crowdfunding is defined as follows by India Review for Development: "Digital crowdfunding refers to raising funds from a larger pool of people using social media or other platforms."[1] Digital crowdfunding a set of techniques that are intertwined with the digital environment to raise funds for community based projects. It was selected as the content of choice in applied digital literacy capacity building in view of its foundation in the digital environment alongside its relevance to the FemPawer program in creating safe and productive spaces for community empowerment. This approach is considered value added and an effective method for a holistic capacity building in digital literacy. The training on digital crowdfunding covers two areas: (1) an overview of crowdfunding and digital crowdfunding, (2) hands-on training to develop specific projects targeting communities.
