Objectives: Provide Inmates With Safe Radiology Services In The Institution, According To Specialists’ Prescriptions, In The Following Institutions: • La Macaza Institution, 321 Airport Road, La Macaza, Quebec J0t 1R0. • Port-Cartier Institution, 1 Airport Road, Port-Cartier, Quebec G5b 2W2. • Archambault Institution, 244 Gibson Boulevard, Sainte-Anne-Des-Plaines, Quebec • J5n 1V8. • Regional Reception Centre, 246 Gibson Blvd, Sainte-Anne-Des-Plaines, Quebec • J5n 1V8 • Federal Training Centre, Lévesque Blvd. East, Laval, Quebec H7c 1P1 Deliverables: The Contractor Must: 1. Receive Requests For Radiological Exams For Patients; 2. Review Applications To Determine The Nature And Scope Of The Exams; 3. According To The Agreement Established With The Project Authority, Manage The Schedule Of The Radiology Services Of The Institution Served Based On The Assessment Of Clinical Priorities; 4. Identify The Files (On Cd Or Memory Stick) In The Patients’ Names According To The Naming Convention, Add The Radiology Plan, Burn The Cds Or Save The Memory Sticks, Prepare Them For Shipping, And Keep The Registry Of Reading Records Up To Date; 5. Place Patients And Immobilize Them In The Position Conducive To Providing The Desired Alignment, Using Sandbags Or Other Weights; 6. Protect Patients From Excessive Radiation Using Devices Such As Lead Screens; 7. Adjust The Voltage, Amperage, And Exposure Time As Needed Based On The Body Part And Characteristics Of The Patients Being Examined To Produce A Digital Radiography With The Required Level Of Detail, Density, Contrast, And Distortion-Free Quality. 8. Give Patients All The Necessary Instructions Related To The Exam; 9. Charge, Adjust, Plug In, And Organize Related Equipment; 10. Submit Radiological Films (On Cd Or Memory Stick) To Radiologists Approved By The Project Authority For Analysis By The Radiologists; 11. Receive The Radiologists’ Analyses And Archive Them; 12. Keep The Files That Are Necessary For The Proper Functioning Of This Service Up To Date; 13. Maintain The Inventory Of Operating Supplies For The Radiology Department; 14. Check And Ensure That The Procedures In Place At The Institution Comply With The Relevant Laws And Standards Governing The Practice Of The Profession Of Medical Imaging Technologists And Radiation Oncology Technologists In Quebec. 15. Assist The Project Authority With Questions Regarding The Improvement Of Radiology Services. 16. Submit A Report On The Statistics Of The Use Of The Radiology Service To The Project Authority After Each Radiology Clinic. 17. Provide The Services In The Official Language Chosen By The Inmate, Either French Or English.
