Expression of Interest for Provision of Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) Curriculum Development and Training Services. Service requirements: The contractor will provide the following services: 1. Curriculum Development and Implementation: Develop and deliver a curriculum comprising: Module 1: Comprehensive MHPSS Training (covering group and individual therapeutic skills, with distinct approaches for adults and children). Module 2: General Disorder Identification based on DSM stands for the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (e.g., PTSD, depression, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, traumainformed care.) tailored for group and individual sessions, subdivided for adults and children. Ensure the training meets certification standards in MHPSS and Trauma Pedagogy for participants. 2. Training Delivery: Train up to 36 humanitarian workers, including psychologists, psychosocial workers and health professionals. Conduct 160 teaching hours over 20 days within a 12-week period. Deliver training online, with participants attending from designated training venues alongside local co-facilitators. Ensure the training language is Arabic. 3. Expert Deployment: Mental health professional experience (university degree Master, in psychology, psychotherapy, Extensive Knowledge of MHPSS frameworks, such as the InterAgency Standing Committee (IASC) Guidelines or Sphere Standards. Proven Clinical skills in mental health support (e.g., individual and group therapy, crisis intervention). familiarity with the humanitarian context. In-depth Contextual Understanding of the political situation and mental health, psychosocial wellbeing in syria Expertise in identifying general disorders based on the DSM (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders), including PTSD, depression, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and others. Skilled in providing trauma-informed care tailored for both group and individual sessions, with specialized approaches for adults and children. Strong experience in delivering MHPSS-related training topics, both in-person and online. Capable of providing assessments to evaluate learning outcomes, participant engagement, and the overall effectiveness of the training. Experience in conducting overall impact evaluations of training programs and compiling comprehensive final reports. Ability to Provide ongoing support and resources to experts to address challenges and improve outcome. Identify, prepare, and manage qualified international and national experts (short-term and long-term) to deliver the training. Online training experience, knowledge of how to use online tools, questionnaires, or tests to gauge participant participation, learning objectives, and the trainings overall efficacy. Competence in identifying, preparing, and managing qualified international and national experts for both short-term and long-term engagements, to deliver high-quality training. Ability Provide all necessary equipment, supplies, and training materials for the training. Manage costs, expenditures, and invoicing in compliance with GIZ standards. 4. Reporting Procedures: Submit regular reports, including: Inception Report: Initial plan detailing project scope and timeline. Progress Reports: Quarterly or half-yearly updates (5-7 pages) on implementation status. Final Contributions: Inputs for GIZs reports to its commissioning party.
