Expression of Interest for Unleashing the Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) Transformative Potential of Regional Centres of Excellence (RCOE) Description: The objective of this contract is to build and improve the capacities of Regional Centres of Excellence (RCoE) to understand the systemic impacts of Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) investments related to agri-food, water, biodiversity and forests and beyond. To do so, this work will develop and implement a methodology for a systemic place-based approach to mobilising STI for green transition. The methodology will: Support the identification, assessment and prioritisation of STI investments, taking into account cross-sectoral impacts, synergies, and trade-offs; Generate and disseminate guidance for interdisciplinary and cross-sectoral coordination of RCoEs for research and innovation on green transition. The approach will complement and reinforce existing integrated approaches to sustainable resource management in the identified RCoEs within selected African countries.
