Acquisition Of Remote Controlled Boats . Nve Is Responsible For The National Hydrological Station Network In Norway. The Network Consists Of About 600 Water Flow Stations. At The Water Flow Stations, The Water Level Is Measured In The River, And The Drain Is Calculated Based On A Water Flow Curve Curve Describing The Ratio Of Water Level And Water Flow. To Generate An Accurate Water Flow Curve, The Physical Water Flow Measurements At A Variety Of Water Levels From Low To High Water Flow Are Disseminated. Nves Field Hydrologists Perform Around 400 Water Flow Measurements Annually With A Variety Of Instruments. Most Of These Measurements Are Performed With Adcps (Acoustic Doppler Current Profiles) From Manufacturers Sonek And Trdi. These Adcps Are Mounted On Various Boats That Are Run/Pulled Back And Forth In Transects Over A River. Nve Will Buy 4 Remote Controlled Boats For This Purpose. It Is Important For Nve To Reduce The Risks Of The Field Hydrologists In Flood Measurements And The Boats Must Be Able To Cope And Operate In Flood -Sized Rivers.
