Tenders are invited for Public Procurement Contract for Consultancy Services to Develop Video and VR-AR Content for 3 National Parks General objective The primary objectives of this consultancy are to: Produce high-quality content that highlights Ugandas unique cultural and natural heritage, enriching the visitor experience and promoting tourism. Develop Video and VR-AR Content for 3 National Parks O Create a video showcasing the natural beauty and wildlife of Kidepo Valley, Queen Elizabeth, and the Gorilla Sanctuary. o Create immersive and interactive VR-AR experiences on the same topics. o Upload the content into VR headsets o Upload the developed content into the 5 five available VR headsets, from UTB. Location of activities The activities related to this consultancy will be focused on three distinct national parks and one sanctuary within Uganda. Heres a detailed breakdown of each location: Kidepo Valley National Park: Geographic Location: Situated in the northeastern part of Uganda, near the border with South Sudan. The park covers approximately 1,442 square kilometers. Key Features: Known for its scenic beauty, Kidepo Valley features vast savannahs, rugged mountains, and a rich diversity of wildlife, including elephants, lions, giraffes, and numerous bird species. Relevance: This park is renowned for its remote and pristine environment, making it a unique showcase of Ugandas natural heritage. The VR-AR content will highlight the parks expansive landscapes and diverse wildlife. Queen Elizabeth National Park: Geographic Location: Located in the southwestern region of Uganda, near the border with the Democratic Republic of Congo. It spans approximately 1,978 square kilometers. Key Features: The park is famous for its varied ecosystems, including savannahs, wetlands, and forests. It is home to a wide range of wildlife, including lions, elephants, hippos, and a variety of bird species. Relevance: Queen Elizabeth National Park is a major tourist attraction with its unique features such as the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake Edward and Lake George. The VR-AR content will aim to capture the parks biodiversity and its ecological importance. Gorilla Sanctuary (Bwindi Impenetrable National Park): Geographic Location: Located in the southwestern part of Uganda, bordering the Democratic Republic of Congo. The park covers about 321 square kilometers. Key Features: Renowned for its dense forests and as a habitat for the critically endangered mountain gorillas. It is one of the few places in the world where tourists can see these magnificent primates in their natural habitat. Relevance: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a crucial destination for ecotourism.
