Tenders are invited for Veterinary Medicinal Product Control Center (VETKOM)- Biodiversity Specialist Closing Date: 25 Mar 2025 Type: Consultancy Themes: Agriculture/Climate Change and Environment/Health STOOS Consulting is looking for experts in the field of Veterinary Medicinal Product Control Center (VETKOM) in Turkey. This project, in line with the World Banks Environmental and Social Framework (ESF) and international best practices, will involve conducting a comprehensive Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA), developing a Stakeholder Engagement Plan, and preparing Sub-Management Plans for Contractors. The ESIA will evaluate environmental and social risks during the design, construction, and operational phases, incorporating air quality and noise measurements, as well as stakeholder consultations. Given the scale and importance of this initiative, STOOS Consulting is seeking qualified experts with experience in environmental and social assessments for World Bank-funded projects. Biodiversity Specialist Responsibilities Identify the impacts and risks of the project on biodiversity at local, regional and national levels and make recommendations for the elimination and/or reduction of risks. Qualifications At least 5 (five) years of professional experience. Graduate from the Biology or equivalent department of the faculties. Preferably a biologist with experience in the ESF requirements of WB. Worked in at least 3 (three) projectsfinanced by the relevant Turkish Legislation and International financial institutions (WB, IFC, EBRD, etc.).
