Western Grandstand Briefing Ipswich City Council Wish To Extend An Invitation To All To Attend The Information Briefing Session On The Upcoming Western Grandstand Project, Due To Be Released To Market Early April 2025. The Briefing Will Take Place At The Ipswich City Council Administration Building (Tulmer Place), Nicholas Street Precinct In The Level 1 Dandiiri Room On Tuesday 25 March 2025 Commencing 10Am. Please Rsvp If You Are To Attend To Nicole.E.Anderson@Ipswich.Qld.Gov.Au The Delivery Of A New Western Grandstand At The North Ipswich Sport And Entertainment Precinct, Capable Of Typically Holding State And Local Level Rectangular Sport Competition Games But Be Able To Be Scaled Up To Host One Off Premium Sporting, Recreational, Cultural And Entertainment Events. The Project Is Funded From All Three Levels Of Government.The Delivered Project Is To Be Closely Aligned With The Concept Design (And Supporting Technical Analysis) Prepared By A Qualified Consultant Consortium Dated 16 December 2024.At The Date Of Release Of This Communication, The Concept Designs Have Not Yet Been Made Public, However They Will Be Presented During The Briefing. The Ground Level Of The New Grandstand Building Comprises The Following:• Seating For Approximately 2000 Patrons.• Public Amenities To Accommodate The Seating Capacity With Pwd Amenities • Two Pairs Of Change Rooms With Interconnecting Access Between Each Pair To Enable An Enlarged Space For Elite Level Sports.• Referees, Drug Testing And Medical/Doctor’S Rooms Accessed From The Circulation Corridor• Internal And External Storerooms• Commercial Food And Beverage Outlet At The Northern End Accessed Via The Upper Plaza Concourse.Level 1 Is Designed To Accommodate Corporate Hospitality And Events, Media And Team Officials. A Central Lift And Stair Lobby Provides Direct Access From The Ground Level Entrance To This Level.The Corporate Hospitality Space Has A Planned Capacity Of 150 Pax For A Sit-Down Dinner.Other Facilities On This Level Include:• Media And Broadcast Box Close To The Centre Line Of The Field Of Play• Coaches Boxes• Scorer And Timekeeper Box• Control Room• Corporate Suite Which May Be Used By Media On Major Game Days• Male And Female Amenities With Pwd Access In Addition To These Elements, It Is Also Proposed To Deliver 500Lux Field Lighting And Replacement Of The Existing Field Screen With One Of An Equivalent Size.
