Expression of Interest are invited for Opportunities for Circular Economy (Ce) Financing in Morocco The assignment aims to provide banks, Moroccos Bankers Association (GPBM), relevant banking regulators, the private sector, Regional Investment Centers (CRIs) and policymakers in Morocco with the relevant information to understand, identify and leverage CE financing opportunities in the country. Specifically, it will: · Benchmark global practices and regulations that stimulate CE investment, identifying triggers - policy, financial, and market mechanisms - that led to the adoption of CE financing in various regions, including emerging economies, and the pre-requisites for an ecosystem to move towards CE. · Quantify the public and private investment needs required to develop CE supporting infrastructure and upgrade industrial sectors in Morocco, with particular emphasis on SMEs and large enterprises (top-down approach). · Assess the demand for CE financing and estimate the market potential for banks in Morocco to introduce a new CE financing product, through a bottom-up approach that will leverage enterprise data and expert opinions. By focusing on these goals, the study will estimate the CE financing opportunity in Morocco - broken down by sector, firm size, geography and potential regulatory scenarios - and recommend actions to build the CE ecosystem and enable the creation of a new product offering for CE financing in Morocco.
