Tenders Are Invited For The Collection, Purchase, And Processing Of Recovered Metals (Ferrous And Non-Ferrous), Lead Acid Batteries And Television And Computer E-Waste From Nominated Waste Facilities Operated By Sunshine Coast Council.Council Operates Resource Recovery Centres Across The Sunshine Coast Region. Customers Dispose Waste To The Facilities And Segregate Lead Acid Batteries, E-Waste And Items/Materials That Are Predominately Metal For Resource Recovery. The Segregation Of These Materials Has The Advantage Of Diversion From Council’S Landfill, The Recovery Of Resources, And Allows For The Collection And Reprocessing/Recycling By Others.This Contract Consists Of Three (3) Separable Portions:• Separable Portion A – Recovered Ferrous And Non-Ferrous Metals• Separable Portion B – Television And Computer E-Waste• Separable Portion C – Lead Acid Batteriesrespondents Can Submit For One (1) Or More Separable Portions. Council Reserves The Right To Award One Or More Separable Portions To One Or More Respondents.The Successful Respondent/S Will Enter Into A Periodic Sale And Purchase Contract And Will Be Responsible For Collection Of Recovered Metals, E-Waste And Lead Acid Batteries From Council’S Waste Facilities. The Metals, Lead Acid Batteries And E-Waste Are Presented For Collection In A Range Of Ways Including To Stockpiles, Skip Bins, And Pallets.The Successful Respondent/S Will Be Responsible For:• Supply Of Nominated Plant And Equipment For The Services,• Collection And Transport Services, And• All Future Recovery Of The Resources.Respondents Are To Describe/Demonstrate In Their Tender Submission:• The Resource Recovery Destination And Processes For The Materials,• The Appropriate Licensing/Permit For Lawful Transport And Handling Of The Materials.This Is A Revenue Contract Utilising Nominated Market Indexes Which Fluctuate. Respondents Are To Nominate Recovery Percentages And Rates Offered For The Purchase Of Recovered Metals, E-Waste And/Or Lead Acid Batteries In Their Tender.This Contract Will Commence On 1 June 2025 For An Initial Term Of Three (3) Years, With 2 Extension Options Of 12 Months.An Information Session Will Be Held On 18 February 2025 To Allow Respondents To Inspect One (1) Site.
