Expression of Interest are invited for Preassessment for CGAP project Inclusive Finance for Food Security. CGAP is implementing a 3-year project with the primary objective of generating globally applicable guidance on how to tailor digital financial services and investment mechanisms so that they enable the adoption of the subset of AgTechs that best support food security outcomes. New financial and investment solutions aim to enable the scalable adoption of the right AgTech categories that address the unique constraints in those AVCs with the highest positive impact on food security. These solutions will be ideated and piloted in 3 focus countries with local partners in different agriculture and finance industry context, and then a cross-country analysis will be made to generate global lessons for DFIs, Impact Investors and donors who are interested in increasing agriculture investments that effectively lead to better food security outcomes. CGAP is recruiting a vendor to conduct a pre-assessment for the implementation of this CGAP project in Kenya, Tanzania, Cambodia and Colombia. The objective is to determine the level of interest from public and private sectors to partner with CGAP in testing finance and investment solutions that promote the adoption of select AgTech initiatives that enhance food security in each country. Based on the conclusions of this pre-assessment, CGAP will select 3 focus countries where it will continue to deepen its collaboration with country partners and the pursual of the projects objectives.
