Battery Chargers - Cell Test Laboratory. In A Multi -Stage Project, Fraunhofer Gesellschaft (Fhg) Is Planning To Build A Research Production Battery Cell (Ffb), In Which New Battery Cell Concepts And Processes Are To Be Combined And Researched With Digitized, Flexible And Modular Manufacturing Methods. The Aim Of The Ffb Is To Lower The Development Effort For The Highest Scaled Production Of The Latest Lithium-Ion Battery Cells. The Ffb Is Intended To Significantly Reduce The Risk Of Industrial Partners In The Transfer Of New Cell Concepts And Production Technologies To Large -Scale Production And Significantly Reduce The Entry Hurdles For New Manufacturers. Furthermore, The Ffb Facility Should Help Secure The Qualification Of Specialist Staff For Battery Cell Production. The Fhg Was Commissioned By The Federal Ministry Of Education And Research To Plan And Implement The Ffb As Part Of The Fofebat Research Project. The Ffb Is A Fraunhofer Facility And Is Built In Münster. The Growth Of The On-Site Infrastructure Is To Be Gradually Carried Out Within Multi-Stage Planning And Construction Phases. As Early As The Second Quarter Of 2021, The First Research Work In The Ffb Workspace Of The Alexian Workshops In Münster Began. The First Construction Phase (Ffb Prefab) Was Handed Over By The State Of North Rhine-Westphalia To The Fhg In Early 2023, While The Cover Of The Associated Second Construction Phase (Ffb Fab) Was Planned At A Later Date.
