Tenders are invited for External Auditor to Audit its Financial Records Starting from the Fiscal Year of 2024 for the Next Three-Year Period. Job Description Empowerment for Development (ED) is a civil society organization registered as an Ethiopian civil society organization. It is a non-governmental, non-partisan, and non-profit organization with the mission of empowering of women and Children. Empowerment for Development is implementing projects in Afar regional state with financial support from donor communities. Empowerment for Development requires an External Auditor to audit its financial records starting from the fiscal year of 2024 for the next three-year period. The deadline for submitting technical and financial audit proposals is 15 calendar days from the date of this announcement to the Empowerment for Development office in Semera in person through its location address mentioned at the bottom or by post office To Empowerment for Development, P.O.Box 1222/1110 Addis Ababa Ethiopia. The External Auditor will: Perform a standard financial audit of Empowerment for Developments annual financial activity to determine its financial status and compliance with policies and procedures, Perform auditing and accounting tests to determine the reliability, integrity, and internal control system, Examine accounting records such as general ledgers, assets/liability records, income/expenditure accounts, commitments to government, source document,s and payroll journals to verify that transactions have been properly recorded and are in compliance with applicable regulations, Prepare an Audit Report and Management letter with recommendations for corrective action applying professional judgment and interpretation of applicable rules and standards, Finalize the audit report within 7 to 10 days and submit the Report to EDs around mid of March each year, Present the Audit Report to the EDs Board members at the annual board meeting around the mid of March each year. Other audit services like cost verifications and other tasks that may be required in between the fiscal period by donors or partners. Job Requirements Requirements Certificate of Competence from the Accounting and Audit Board of Ethiopia Company profile/CVs of the people who participates in the audit Renewed license for the current period, VAT Registration and TIN Certificates Previous experience with recommendation letters in auditing NGOs.
