In July 2011, The Minister Of Science Announced The State Of North Rhine -Westphalia For The Modernization And Renovation Of The Deutz Campus Of The Th Cologne. After That, The Campus Remains At The Deutz Location And Is Largely Rebuilt. The Already Renovated Old Building And The Building Of The University Library Are Preserved. The Existing Halls And The High -Rise Are Torn Down In Sections And Replaced By Several New Buildings. The Replacement Buildings Are Realized On Both The Existing Campus Property, As Well As On The Adjacent Land Acquired By The State Of North Rhine-Westphalia Of The Waste Management Companies (Aw B) And The Two Urban Land (Fire Brigade And So-Called Social Houses). According To The Current Planning Status, The Replacement Buildings Are To Be Realized In Three Construction Phases. The Second Construction Phase Includes Buildings C, D (Each Faculty Building) And Cafeteria As Well As The Intended Infrastructure Measures And Corresponding Demolition Measures. The Third Construction Phase Includes Section F (Faculty Building) And Other Necessary Infrastructure Measures. The Other Construction Fields And The Area To The West Of The Core Area (So -Called Creative Quarters) Are Components Of Possible Expansion Areas. They Are Not Part Of The Current Overall Project And The Approved Spatial Program. The Building C To Be Planned Forms The Important Northern Edge Of The Square To The Future Central Campus Area With The P1 Parking Garage Within The Campus, And Is Also An Important Urban Component With The Location Of Gießener Strasse.
