The Existing Listed Building Was Built In 1893 For Business Premises And As An Administration And Distribution Center For The Deutsche Post. It Was Added To The City Of Lüdenscheids List Of Monuments In 1985. There Are Two Full Floors (Ground Floor And First Floor) As Well As A Full Floor, Partly Due To The Terrain Above Ground Basement. The Attic Space Under The Hipped Roof Has Not Been Expanded. In The Future, The Building Will Be Used For Teaching Purposes At The Adult Education Center For Courses And Exercise Activities. This Requires A Change In The Room Layout In Order To Achieve The Required Room Sizes. The Toilets And Changing Rooms Are Located At The Rear Of The Building (Northwest Side Facing The Parking Lot). For This Purpose, Some Walls Will Be Demolished. The Hall, Formerly The Post Office Counter Hall, With The Wooden Ceiling Will Remain Undisturbed; The Access Will Be Led Around This Central Room On The Ground Floor. The Interventions In The Building Fabric Will Be Limited To The Necessary Minimum.
