Building Installation Work – Expansion Of The Gruérien Museum And The Bulle Library / Cfc 246 Technical Cooling Installation Work. The Project To Expand The Musée Gruérien And The Library Of Bulle Was The Subject Of An Architectural Competition Organized By The City Of Bulle, In Which The Consortium Sergison Bates Architekten & Jaccaud + Associés Emerged As The Winner At The End Of 2019. Located On The Edge Of The Medieval Castle And Rue Victor Tissot, The Site Is Of Great Patrimonial But Also Social And Cultural Importance For The Town Of Bulle And The Gruyère Region. The Current Building, Inaugurated In 1978, Consists Of A Ground Floor And Two Basement Floors. The Intervention Mainly Concerns The Library On The Ground Floor, Which Will Be Enlarged And Redesigned To Allow Better Operation Of The Various Activities On The Site And To Accommodate A Growing Audience. The Two Basement Floors, Which Mainly House The Musée Gruérien And The Storage Rooms, Remain Practically Unchanged. Simultaneously United In Expression But Also Dissected By Its Pavilion-Like Language, The Building Connects With Its Context And Blurs The Legibility Of A Precise Boundary. The Skylights In The Roof And The Cuts In The Volume Bring Natural Light Into The Depths Of The Building And Provide Openings To The Outdoor Areas Of The Site. The Low Volumetry Of The Project Emphasizes The Presence Of The Castle As An Important And Dominant Element Of The Composition. The Materiality Of The Shell Is Reminiscent Of That Of The Original Building, Creating A Subtle Shift Between The Memory Of The Existing Site And Its Redesign. The Intervention Broadly Includes: - The Partial Demolition Of The Existing Building - The Preservation Of The Outbuilding Built In 2002, Which Will Receive A New Shell. - The Partial Preservation Of The Existing Load-Bearing Concrete Structure And The Existing Roof. - The Integration Of A New Staircase, A New Freight Elevator And A New Elevator That Complete The Vertical Circulation. - The Addition Of A New External Staircase For Emergency Exit And Adaptation To Fire Safety Requirements. - The Ground Floor Extension Extends North And East Over The Area Of ​​The Current Underground Levels. The New Roofs And Facade Walls Will Be Constructed Entirely Of Wood. The Load Transfer Is Carried Out On The Facade And Transferred To The Surrounding Walls Of The Basement. - A New Energy Concept With The Modernization Of The Ventilation/Air Conditioning Systems And The Connection To The Cad System. The Present Lot Includes The Work Related To The Reconstruction, Dismantling And Installation And Supply Of New Cooling Systems For The Reconstruction And Expansion Of The Musée Gruérien And The Library Of The City Of Bulle.
