Project: Tender20127 - Tender20127 Commercial Fishing Digital Solution . This Rfb Is To Acquire A Vendor To Configure, Implement, And Provide Long-Term Support And Maintenance For A Digital Commercial Fishing Solution For A Term Of Up To Ten (10) Years. Scope Of Work Ontario Is Home To One Of The Largest Sustainable Freshwater Commercial Fisheries In The World. The Contribution Of The Commercial Fishing Industry To Ontario’S Economy Is Substantial. Ontario’S Commercial Fishing Industry Is Valued At Around $200 Million Dollars Per Year And Plays A Significant Role In The Economic And Social Welfare Of Several Small Communities In Ontario By Providing Employment Opportunities For Fish Harvesters, Processors, Or Other Related Support Jobs. The Ministry Of Natural Resources (Mnr) Is Part Of The Government Of The Province Of Ontario, Canada. The Mnr Is Responsible For Protecting Ontario’S Biodiversity While Promoting Economic Opportunities In The Resource Sector And Supporting Outdoor Recreation Opportunities. With Respect To Ontario’S Commercial Fishing Industry, The Mnr Is Responsible For Licensing The Commercial Fishery And Administering Applicable Operational Requirements, Such As Catch Reporting And Quota Management Systems. The Mnr Is Looking To Modernize Their Commercial Fishing Program By Procuring A New Hosted And Managed Commercial Fishing Digital Solution To Create New Self-Service, Digital Channels To Support Commercial Fishing Licence Management, Quota Management, Daily Catch Reporting Management, And Information Management And Reporting.
