directed. 56 M&L for broken stone/ bricks / sand dust filling under floors or in foundations including watering and consolidation complete all as specified and directed. 57 Removing excavated material n exc. 50m and depositing where directed at a level n exc. 1.5 m above the starting point complete all as specified and directed. 58 Returning, filling in, including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layers not exc 25 cm complete all as specified and directed. 59 Material and labour for water proofing treatment of new roofs as per details given below ,cleaning the new surface with water and using wire brush including removing debris to outside the MOD land complete all as specified and as directed :- 60 (a) Bring upto the slope by providing PCC 1:2:4 type B1 (using 20mm graded stone aggregates) of average thickness of concrete 25 mm. 61 (b) Rendering 10mm thick in CM 1:3on concrete roof surfaces and finish the surface even and smooth without using extra cement including mixingwater proofing compound as per manufacturer’s instructions. 62 (c) Surface to be cleaned with high speed water jet & vacuum cleaner for thorough cleaning of the surface to avoid ‘Peeling off’ problems. 63 (d) All cracks at corner joints, channels and parapets should be properly treated.For filling cracks upto 3mm crack seal material of M/s Asian paints or equivalent inM/s Dr Fixit or M/s Pidilite or M/s Sika chemicalor M/s Berger paints to be used. Bigger cracks, damagedportions & hollow areas must be repaired with polymer modified cement mortar. 64 (e) Apply a coat of self priming smart care damp proof ultra (Code 5698) ofM/s Asian paints or equivalent in M/s Berger paints orM/s Dr Fixit or M/s Pidilite or M/s Sika chemical with 33% dilution with water using brush/roller on newly plastered surface after curing as per IS-456 and allow to dry for 4 to 6 hours (dilution & forced coverage requirement strictly as per manufacturer’s instructions). 65 (f) After the primed surface has dried, apply first coat of water proofing smart care damp proof ultra (Code 5698) of M/s Asian paints or equivalent in M/s Berger paints orM/s Dr Fixit or M/s Pidilite or M/s Sika chemicalusing brush/roller on the same primed surface & allow to dry for 4 to 6 hours. 66 (g) Prepare for applying2nd coat of water proofing smart care damp proof ultra (Code 5698) of M/s Asian paints or equivalent in M/s Berger paints orM/s Dr Fixit or M/s Pidilite or M/s Sika chemicalusing brush/roller on the same surface.The temp to be maintained 25 to 35° C through out the all above application work. 67 (h) In case of severe dampness an additional coat of damp proof materials to be applied by the contractor. 68 Note for item No 60 to 67:- (i) The work shall be carried out through authorized and qualified applicators of the following manufacturers only. MOU to be submitted before commencement of work. Make:- Havells/ Polycab/ RPG AsianNote - Earthwork and bricks to be paid separately under respective items of BOQ. 112 Earthing complete with glavanised steel earth plate elactrode 600x600x6.0 mm thick buried directly in ground (Earth pit not less than 2.25 mtr deep below ground leves) with top edge of the plate not less 1.5 mtr deep below normal ground level connected to galvanised earth lead wire 4.0 mm dia by means of nut , bolt, check nut and washer of galvanised iron or of steel, earth lead protected by 15 mm dia GI pipe light grade watering pipe 20 mm dia GI light grade GI wire mesh funnel alternate layer of charcoal and salt PCC chamber i PCC 1:3:6 type C-1 using 20 mm graded crushed stone aggregate and including RCC cover 50 mm thick in (1:2:4) type B-1 using 20 mm graded aggregate and reinforced with X pm including all necessary excavation and earth work, earth wire connected to main switch board, testing the earthing after completion all as specified and shown in electric plate No 5 of MES SSR Pt-I 1991 print and as directed. 113 Note:- (i)Item of earthing includes cost of excavation, removing, PCC Chamber, 15mm bore medium grade GI protection Pipe (7.5 Meters long) for earth lead any variation in length shall be adjusted through deviation order based on SSR rates enhanced by 25%,(ii)On testing after completion of earthing if the desired earth resistance is not obtained earthing will be re-done by the contractor at his own risk and cost to the entire satisfaction of Engr-in Charge.
