The Proximity Of The Halifax Wastewater Treatment Facility (Halifax Wwtf) To Hrm’S Downtown Core Presents A Unique Opportunity To Use The Facility’S Effluent Stream As A Source Of Clean, Renewable Energy For Space Heating And Domestic Hot Water, And As A Heat Sink For Cooling, In A District Energy System (Des) Being Developed In The Cogswell Area Of Downtown Halifax.
