Tender For Black Carpeting Of Roads For Nfc Kota Plant - Phase-2; 1 Earth work inover areasby mechanical means (Hydraulic excavator) / manual means/controlled blasting to required profile, level, grade, camber, etc in all soils/strata as mentioned below upto all depths as per drawing and as directed, 1.5 m in width as well as 10 sqm in plan area including dressing of excavated sides and ramming of bottoms and disposal / stacking of excavated materials within a lead of 150m and all inferent lifts and filling in layers not exceeding 200mm, watering, consolidation etc. complete all as per specifications, drawing and as directed by Engineer-in-charge 2 Softrock/Filled Up Rock/Soils/Crushed rocks 3 Hard rock ( by chiselling or wedging or rock hammer and cutter or hydraulic splitter or by using machine such as poclain with jack hammer or controlled blasting or by approved chemical method as directed by EIC) 4 Excavating, supplying and filling of local earth/crushed sand from outside by mechanical transportalso including ramming and watering of the earth in layers not exceeding 20 cm in top/bottom/sides offoundation, reservors, road formation, etc. Complete for all leads as available from approved source of query. 5 Lead charges within NFC Plantfor additional lead over the initial leadby mechanical transport, including loading, unloading, stacking, the disposable soil, rock , other unserviceable materials etc., Note: Measurement of lead charges will be based on truck measurement with a deduction of voids @20%and 50% for rock 6 a) for soil and fine materials 7 b) for rock, debris etc 8 Granular Sub base with Coarse Graded Material (Construction of granular sub-base by providing close graded Material conforming to specifications mixing in a mechanical mix plant at OMC, carriage of mixed material by tippers to work site, for all leads & lifts, spreading in uniform layers of specified thickness with motor grader on prepared surface and compacting with vibratory power roller to achieve the desired density, complete as per specifications and directions of Engineer-in-Charge)- With material conforming to Grade-I (size range 75 mm to 0.075 mm) having CBR Value-30 complete as specified and directed as per direction of Engineer-in-charge . 9 Providing, laying, spreading and compacting graded stone aggregate (size range 53 mm to 0.075 mm ) to wet mix macadam (WMM) specification including premixing the material with water at OMC in for all leads & lifts, laying in uniform layers with mechanical paverfinisher in sub- base / base course on well prepared surface and compacting with vibratory roller of 8 to 10 tonne capacity to achieve the desired density, complete as per specifications andincluding dismantlingmanually/ by mechanical means bituminous road along with WBM/WMM/GSB all including stacking of serviceable material and disposal of unserviceable material withinlead as per direction of Engineer-in-charge making the road good . 10 Providing and laying bituminous macadam 50 to 100 mm average compacted thickness with bitumen of grade VG-30 @ 3.50% (percentage by weight of total mix) prepared in Batch Type Hot Mix Plant of 100-120 TPH capacity. using crushed stone aggregates of specified grading premixed with bituminous binder, transported to site by tippers, laid over a previously prepared surface with paver finisher equiped with electronic sensor to the required grade, level and alignment and rolling with smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem rollers as per specifications to achieve the desired compaction and density, complete as per specificatons and directions of Engineer-in-Charge.Note : Rates shall be inclusive of Supplying and Applying Tack coat and Scarifying and cleaning the surface as directed by Engineers in Charge 11 Providing and laying seal coat of premixed fine aggregate ( passing 2.36 mm and retained on 180 micron sieve) with bitumen using 128 kg of bitumen of grade VG - 10 bitumen per cum of fine aggregate and 0.60 cum of fine aggregate per 100 sqm of road surface, including rolling and finishing with road roller all complete. 12 Providing and laying Dense Graded Bituminous Macadam using crushed stone aggregates of specified grading , premixed with bituminous binder and filler, 50 to 100 mm average compacted thickness with bitumen of grade VG-30 @ 5% (percentage by weight of total mix) and lime filler @ 2% (percentage by weight of Aggregate) prepared in Batch Type Hot Mix Plant of 100-120 TPH capacity. transporting the hot mix to work site by tippers, laying with paver finisher equiped with electronic sensor to the required grade, level and alignment and rolling with smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem rollers as per specifications to achieve the desired compaction and density, complete as per specificatons and directions of Engineer-in-Charge. 13 Providing and applying 2.5 mm thick road marking strips ( retroreflective) of specified shade/ colour using hot thermoplastic material by fully/ semi automatic thermoplastic paint applicator machine fitted with profile shoe, glass beads dispenser, propane tank heater and profile shoe heater, driven by experienced operator on road surface including cost of material, labour, T&P, cleaning the road surface of all dirt, seals, oil, grease and foreign material etc. complete as per direction of Engineer-in-charge and accordance with applicable specifications. 14 Providing and fixing Glow studs of size 100x20 mm made of heavy duty body shall be moulded ASA (Acrylic styrene Acryloretrite ) or HIP (High impact polystyrene) or ABS having electronically welded micro- prismatic lens with abrasion resistant coating as Approved by Engineer in charge. The glow stud shall support a load of 13635 kg tested in accordance with ASTM D4280. The slope of retro- reflective surface shall be 35 (+/-5) degress to base .The reflective panels on both sides with at least 12 cm of reflective area up each side. The luminance intensity should be as per the specification and shall be tested as described in ASTM I: 809 as recommended in BS: 873 part 4 : 1973. The studs shall be fixed to the Road surface using the adhesive conforming to IS, as per procedure recommended by the manufacturer complete and as per direction of Engineer-in-charge. 15 Road DelinatorDelineator: Supply & Fixing of M S Delineator made of Mild steel with pure polyester powder coating with the minimum thickness of powder coating of not less than 40 micron for protection against corrosion. The surface should be concealed so that there should not be any exposed surface without powder coating. Alternatively, these metal guide poles can be concealed with thermoplastic body. The posts shall have an ellipsoidal or circular design with the height of the pole shall be 800 to 900 mm above the ground with about 200 to 300 mm base which can be anchored onto the ground. Mild steeI Guide Poles shall conform to Type XI sheeting specifications as per IRC:67 upto date and ASTM D4956 which would ensure to obtain clear visibility of the road alignment during night time. The Retro reflective sheeting shall be tested for A certificate of having the sheeting tested for coefficient of retro reflection, daytime colour and luminance, shrinkage, flexibility, liner removal, adhesion, impact resistance, specular gloss and fungus resistance, 3 years outdoor weathering and its having passed these tests shall be obtained from International/Government Laboratory / Institute by the manufacturer of the sheeting and in case the certificate is obtained from international condition, it should also be obtained from Indian condition within 3 years of launching of product by the manufacture in abroad.Alternatively, a certificate conforming to ASTM Specification (D4956-09) on artificial accelerated weathering requirements from a reputed laboratory in India can be accepted provisionally. In such a situation, the Employer /Client, if so desires, could seek for a performance guarantee which would be released after receipt of certificate meeting the requirement of three years outdoor weathering of the sheeting as per IRC 67 upto date & Proof of the same Report shall be uploaded with quoting tender.The rate shall include all materials, labour, T&P, transportation, installation and incidentals all complete as per direction of the Engineer-in-Charge. 16 Linear Delineator System (LDS)Supply & fixing of Linear Delineator System (LDS) panels made of Micro Prismatic Retro Reflective sheeting type XI duly laminated on thin aluminium foil to a unique corrugated shape to provide Retro Reflection across wide range of observations and external angles. Eatch LDS panel should be of nominal length of min 33 inch and min width of 6 inch & each ridge shall be approximately min. 0.34 inch high. Each LDS panel is to be firmly fixed on existing concrete/brick work with 16 Nos fastner/ screwcomplete as specified and directed. 17 Painting Lines, Dashes, Arrows, etc. on Roads in Two Coats on new work.Painting lines, dashes, arrows, etc. on roads in two coats on new work with ready mixed road marking paint cinforming to IS:164 on bituminous surface, including cleaning the surface of all dirt, dust and other foreign matter, demarcation at site and traffic controlcomplete as specified and directed. 18 Retro-ReflectiveSheeting type-XI with 4 mm thick ACM Single FaceProviding & fixing of reflective signs with a corrosion resistant 4 mm thick with 0.4 to 0.5 mm both side aluminium skin aluminium composite panel face to be fully covered with High Intensity prismaticsheeting type XI as per IRC-67 upto date retro reflective sheeting with back frame MS angle of 35x35x5 mm. Legends , letters , numerals and borders etc should be as per MoRTH specification No-801.3.7 .The sheeting shall have a pressure - sensitive adhesive of the aggressive - tack type requiring no heat , solvent other preparation for adhesion to a smooth clean surface, in a manner recommended by the sheeting manufacturer. The ACM (Aluminium Composite Materials) shall be fixed on the Back frame MS Anglewith riveting. Micro prismatic type XI Retro reflective sheeting confirming to ASTM D4956-09 shall be Pressure fixed. Tata, Vizag Steel, JSW, SAIL of strength not less than Grade E 250 IS-2062:2011 including providing Bolts and Nuts and other accessories wherever required, arc welding with electrodes conforming to IS 814 of make Advani, D&H, Philips, surface preparation by cleaning with wire brush painting with 3 (Three) coats of PU paint of male M/s Fosroc (Dekguard PU)/Pidilite/Asian Paints/Berger/Dulux over 2 (Two) coats of epoxy zinc rich primer of makeFosroc (Nitozinc primer)/Pidilite/Asian Paints/Berger/Dulux, complete as specified and directed Note:1) The bolts used shall conform to A325 ASTM standardsto 8.8 designation High tensile bolts conforming to IS: 3757.
