Central to our mission is child protection, with a focus on preventing, responding to, and addressing violence, neglect, and exploitation to improve the wellbeing of children. In Lebanon, World Vision has been fighting poverty since 1975, working in all governorates to promote sustainable development. Our efforts prioritize child protection, health, education, livelihoods, peacebuilding, and humanitarian relief through participatory, community-led approaches. We understand that investing in children not only upholds human rights but also builds the foundation for inclusive social development and economic growth. As part of our 2025-2030 strategy, World Vision Lebanon (WVL) is committed to transforming the lives of 1.5 million girls and boys by 2030. To achieve this, WVL has identified three key objectives to address the complex challenges facing children in Lebanon: fostering economically resilient households that can provide for their children, creating safe and supportive environments for children to grow and thrive, and advocating for quality, uninterrupted education for all children, including those with disabilities and from diverse population groups. Program description: WVL aims to implement a comprehensive strategy to address the root causes of fragility and enhance community resilience, focusing on education, child protection, and livelihood needs. At the heart of WVLs efforts are children, who, despite being the most vulnerable in fragile environments, are central to societal development and long-term transformation. The proposed interventions prioritize empowering local actors to carry out sustainable initiatives that empower community members. These initiatives will include raising awareness about protection issues, providing targeted livelihood and education support to caregivers, and building the capacity of partners to drive lasting change. By adopting a triple nexus programming approach, the overarching goal is to transform the lives of vulnerable populations in Tripoli by integrating humanitarian, development, and peacebuilding approaches into sustainable strategies. This goal will be achieved through a series of education and livelihood-focused activities that lead to immediate and intermediate outcomes. The interventions will primarily target vulnerable households with children aged 12-18 years. About World Visions Triple Nexus Programming Approach: Our nexus programming approach is designed to enable World Vision to address immediate survival needs and build towards a better future for vulnerable children and families in fragile contexts. Transcending the traditional humanitarian/development/peacebuilding divide means combining working "in" fragility (the work of protecting lives, ensuring the survival of the most affected and most vulnerable children and protecting their rights), while contributing to their recovery and resilience after crises by working "on" fragility (addressing the root causes of fragility so that progress towards peace and stability becomes possible). Responding flexibly to this kind of volatile change requires humanitarian, development and peacebuilding actors to work flexibly together towards collective outcomes for children. Thus, the Triple Nexus approach aims to address the overlapping challenges of humanitarian crises, development setbacks, and peace-related issues. Partnership Objective World Vision Lebanon (WVL) is seeking to partner with local NGOs and CSOs to collaborate on achieving its strategic goals through the implementation of a multi-sector program in Tripoli. This initiative will focus on the nexus development approach, integrating humanitarian, development, and peacebuilding efforts for maximum and sustainable impact. The partners will support in the implementation of the education and child protection components of the NAF program. Responsibilities of Partners Project Implementation: Collaborate with WVL to implement all the NAF child protection and education project activities as outlined in the NAF log frame Technical Expertise: Provide technical expertise in fields relevant to the project objectives, particularly in education and child protection. Field Operations: Lead field operations through field officers and assistants, including capacity-building activities, and community engagement. Communication and Advocacy: Support WVLs communication and advocacy efforts to enhance program visibility and impact. Capacity Building Participation: Actively participate in WVIL-led capacity-building sessions to enhance organizational and programmatic capabilities. Engage in regular partner health checks and implement tailored plans to address identified gaps in safeguarding, management, and technical delivery. Collaborate on transition plans to foster community leadership and ownership, ensuring sustainability beyond the projects lifecycle. Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with key stakeholders, including the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, existing local authorities, local communities and children/youth groups, ensuring inclusivity and community-driven participation. Eligibility Criteria To be considered for this partnership, applicants must meet the following criteria: Strategic Alignment: The applicants mission and strategy must align with WVLs strategic objectives. Relevant Experience: Applicants must have proven experience in implementing livelihood and education/life skills initiatives. Grassroots Involvement: Local grassroots organizations are strongly encouraged to apply. Consortiums Encouraged: Consortia of local NGOs and CSOs are highly encouraged to apply, with preference given to those with a strong local presence. Legal Status: Applicants must be legally registered in Lebanon and comply with Lebanese laws and regulations. Specific Criteria for Consortium Members: At least one consortium partner must have an operational presence in Tripoli. The lead applicant in the consortium must be legally registered and compliant with Lebanese laws and regulations.
