In 2008, The Province Committed To Provide An Accessible System For Mobile Business Licence (Mbl) Agreements (Mbla), Allowing Community Staff To Upload Inter-Community Business Licence (Icbl) Or Inter-Municipal Business Licences (Imbl) So Partners Can Confirm If A Mobile Business Working Within The Community Has A Valid Licence To Operate Within Their Jurisdiction. An Mbl Allows Mobile Businesses To Operate Across Municipal Boundaries. This Was The Creation Of The Mobile Business Registry (Mbr). There Are 104 Communities Participating In 17 Mbl Agreements Across The Province, With 94 Communities And 15 Agreements Utilizing The Mbr. The Mbr Is Not A Public Facing System, It Is Only For Community/Municipal Staff To Use. For This Program, Community Is Synonymous With Local Government, E.G. First Nation, Regional District, Or Municipality. Using The Mbr Cuts Down Time And Resources For Mbl Partners When Issuing And Monitoring Mbl’S.Jedi Is Seeking Information Regarding Available Commercial Off-The-Shelf (Cots) Solutions.
