Artistic Services – Pictures From The Cistercian Abbey In Osek. The Subject Of The Public Order Is Restoration Work On A Set Of 21 Paintings From The Cloister Of The Monastery In Osek. The Paintings Are In Bad Condition, Allowed For A Long Time, Strongly Wavy, Crumpled, The Color Layers Are Weathered, Cracked, Cracked, With Bleached Varnishes. All Paintings Are Oil On Canvas And Have The Same Dimensions Of 430 X 247 Cm, With The Single Exception Of The Even Larger Painting Alams Ab Insuli (Abbot Gera). The Paintings Are Identically Framed In The Same Semi-Circular Profile Frames With A Blue Marbling Finish, With 27 X 27 Cm Gilt Carvings (Including Garlands) In The Corners. The Detail Of The Carving Is Photographically Documented With The Image Of St. Stephen Harding. Whether Identical Dimensions And The Exact Same Method Of Adjustment Were The Clients Intention From The Beginning, Or Whether The Paintings Were Dimensionally Unified Over Time, Cannot Be Determined Without Further Research.
