To This End, A Sustainable And Future-Oriented Concept Should Be Implemented In A Natural Working And Living Space. The Castle Island Will Remain Car-Free. The Castle Island Is Listed As A Whole In The Cultural Monument List Of The Free State Of Saxony As An Area Of ​​Monument Preservation And Archaeological Value (A Total Of Approx. 70,500 M²). The Area Includes The Hunting Lodge, The New Hunters House, Other Smaller Buildings, A Stone Arch Bridge (Pöppelmannbrücke), The Surrounding Garden Monument And The Ponds With Their Use As A Bathing Pond, Gondola Pond And Fish Breeding Pond. Including The Pond Facilities, The Project Area Covers Approximately 135,000 M². The Buildings Hunting Lodge (Gfa = 945 M²), Gardeners House (Gfa Approx. 441 M²) And New Hunters House With Bowling Alley (Gfa Approx. 2,022 M², Without Bunker) Are To Be Included In The Construction Of The Science And Conference Center. The Area Indicators Determine The Current Condition. The Shed Of The Hunting Lodge And The So-Called Dog Kennel Are To Be Demolished In Favor Of Extensions And New Buildings. The Core Zone Of The Outdoor Areas Between The Hunting Lodge And The New Hunters House Are To Be Restored According To A Monument Preservation Framework. All Other Outdoor Areas Should Be Designed As Natural Spaces With Extensive Care And Allow For Flexible Usage Options. Future Development And Use Are Secured By The Schlossinsel Grillenburg Development Plan, Which Became Legally Binding In The Summer Of 2024. To Investigate The Feasibility Of The Schlossinsel Grillenburg Science And Conference Center Project, A Feasibility Study Was Carried Out On The Grillenburg Hunting Lodge In The Tharandt Forest With A Focus On Architecture, Open Spaces And Economic Viability. Based On The Feasibility Study, The Tu Dresden Would Like To Realize The Planned Accommodation Facilities As A Building Ensemble With A Village Character.
