Installation Of Metal Structures – Framework Agreement On Replacement And Repair Of Gsm-R Mast. 1.1 Introduction Banedanmark Is The Infrastructure Manager For The States Railway Network, Including Gsm-R, Which Is A Wireless Communication Network For Use During The Operation Of All Trains. For Safety Reasons, The Gsm-R System Must Have Radio Coverage Along The Entire Railway Network At All Times, Which I.A. Assumes That There Is A Master For The Systems Radio Antennas. A Number Of The Existing Masters – Up To 77 Pcs. - Have Now Stood By The Railway For Such A Long Time - Up To 40 Years - That It Will Be Necessary To Repair, Strengthen And Replace Them With New Ones Within A Period Of 4-7 Years. Banedanmark Is Therefore Sending A Framework Agreement To Tender, Which Includes Repair And Reinforcement Of Existing Masts As Well As Design, Planning And Establishment Of New Radio Masts With Subsequent Removal Of Existing Ones. 1.2 General Workflow Where An Existing Mast Is To Be Replaced, The Equipment In This, Including Gsm-R Antennas, Must As A Starting Point Be Transferred To The New Mast. The Existing Terrestrial Radio Equipment Is Retained And Must Not Be Moved Or Changed. The Process Will, Among Other Things, Include Establishing A New Foundation And Installing Antennas Etc. In The New Mast, Which Is Then Erected Quite Close To The Old One. The Gsm-R System Is Put Into Operation With Antennas On The New Mast, And Only Then Is The Old Mast Taken Down And The Associated Foundation Removed Or Levelled. 1.3 General Description Of Service Types 1.3.1 Replacement Of Gsm-R Mast / Installation Of A New Mast (Service Type A) This Type Of Installation Concerns The Establishment Of A New Grid Mast With An Associated New Foundation. It Also Includes The Following Transfer Of Gsm-R Antennas And The Transfer Or Renewal Of Power, Fiber And Antenna Cables From The Old To The New Mast. The Existing Grid Mast Must Then Be Removed. Reuse Of Existing Foundations And Underground Earthing Systems Should Not Be Expected. The Supplier Must Provide Access, Establishment Of A New Foundation For The Grid Mast, Establishment Of Grounding And Lightning Protection Systems, New Grid Mast, Installation Of Gsm-R Antennas - Typically Two - With Cable Trays And Connection To Existing Power Supply. When Gsm-R Communication Has Been Put Into Use Via The Antennas On The New Mast, The Existing Mast Must Be Dismantled And Disposed Of. The Top Of The Existing Foundation Must Be Demolished To Approx. 50 Cm Below Ground Level, And The Area Is Restored. For The New Masts And Foundations, The Expected Lifetime Must Be 50 Years And With A Limited Need For Maintenance. The Foundations Must Be Designed As A Steel Foundation Or Ordinary Concrete Foundation. Constructions, Materials, Solutions And Parts Must Be Carefully Selected To Ensure The Intended Functionality Throughout The Mentioned Time Period. The Contractor Must Provide Maintenance Instructions If Required For The Selected Solutions. 1.3.2 Modification Of Existing Gsm-R Mast (Performance Type B) Reinforcement Of Some Of The Existing Masts Is Expected To Be Needed. This Service Type Concerns Existing Grid Masts In Operation With Insufficient Capacity
