The Subject Of The Competition Is Comprehensive Reconstruction And Historical Restoration Of The Grössling Spa, Which Consists Of Construction Modifications And An Extension To The Grössling Spa Itself And The Revitalization Of The Public Space On Medena Street, Including The Reconstruction Of Communications On Medena Street And Kúpeľna Street And The Reconstruction Of The Building At Vajanského Nábreží 11 In Bratislava. The Technical Specification Defines The Basic Requirements For The Work And The Conditions Under Which Design Work And Construction Work On The Work Are To Be Carried Out. The Contractor Is Obliged To Familiarize Himself Thoroughly With The Project Documentation, Related Documents And Attachments, As Well As With The Draft Contract, Defining The Work From A Technical And Qualitative Point Of View, Including Functional Requirements, Quality And Scope, And Related Documents, And To Include All Costs Associated With Fulfilling All The Requirements Of The Contract To Its Total Bid Price. Purpose And Scope Of The Work: The Buildings Are Situated In A Historically Important Zone Of The City Of Bratislava. They Consist Of A Complex Of Buildings In The Cadastral Area Of The Old Town, Defined By Streets From The South - Vajanského Nábrežie, From The West - Kúpeľná Street And From The North - Medena Street. The Northern Facade Of The Building Is Located In An Extended Part Of The Street, Which Creates A Small Public Space. The Revitalization Of This Public Space, Along With Parts Of Medena And Kúpeľná Streets, Are Part Of The Work. Wider Relations With The Surrounding Buildings: The City Spa Building Itself Is Located In The Urban Residential Zone In Close Proximity To The Corner Building Of The Kotva Insurance Company By Architect Bedřich Brettschneider From 1930. The Grössling Spa Building Touches The Apartment Building By Architect Jindřich Merganac With Its North-Eastern Facade. On The Other Side Of Medena Street, There Is An Apartment Building By Architects Julián Hauskrecht And Štefan Svetek From 1974, Which Is Significant For Its Architectural Rendering And Urban Integration Into The Context Of Historical Buildings.
