Field Kitchens – Operactional Catering Systems. The Contract Involves The Delivery Contract Of Operational Catering Systems And An Agreement For Maintenance For A Period Of 15 Years. The Operational Catering (Opcat) System Will Be A Transportable Kitchen System, Usable For The Preparation And Packing Of Food And Drinks For Military Operations. One System Has The Capability To Provide Catering For 250 Persons, 24 Hours A Day, 7 Days A Week. On Daily Basis Four Meals Must Be Served: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner And Night Meal. The System Must Be Able To Regenerate Packed, Frozen Pre-Cooked Meals As A Primary Function. Additionally, Depending On Operational Circumstances, It Must Also Be Possible To Prepare Small Fresh Food Servings. At All Times Hot And/Or Cold Beverages Must Be Prepared And Served With The Meals. The Opcat System Must Be One Containerised Unit, Which Must Operate Self-Sufficiently For At Least 72 Hours. It Includes, But Is Not Limited To, A Power Supply System, Fuel/Water/Food Storage, Food Preparation Equipment, Climate Control, Water System And Storage Capacity.
