Stray Dogs Found Within The City Council Boundaries Delivered To The Premises Shall Be Kept By The Provider On Behalf Of The Council For A Period Of At Least Seven (7) Consecutive Days. If After That Period The Owner Or Keeper Has Not Claimed The Dog, The Council Will Offer And The Provider Will Accept The Dog In Accordance With Section 149(6) Of The Environmental Protection Act 1990.The Provider Thereafter Will Bear Full Responsibility For The Unclaimed Dog, Including All Associated Costs. The Provider Shall Make All Reasonable Endeavours, To Include The Scanning Of Microchips, To Identify And Contact The Owner Of A Dog Received By The Kennel Within The Initial 7-Day Period. Thereafter, The Provider Will Use All Means Possible To Rehome The Animal. Accommodation Provided For Dogs Must Be In All Aspects Suitable As Regards To Construction, Size Of Quarters, Exercise Facilities, Temperature, Ventilation And Cleanliness, As Set Out In The Model Guidance Conditions And Guidance For Dog Boarding Establishments.The Kennels Must Be Sited In A Location Of Bristol Which Enables Members Of The Public Easy Access Either By Their Own Or Public Transport. The Premises Shall Be Fully Compliant With The Equalities Act 2010.A Reception Area Suitable For Members Of The Public And Suitably Sign Posted Must Be Provided At The Kennels.The Provider Shall Provide A Secure Access And Pick Up Point For Use By The Dog Wardens To Prevent Dogs Escaping During Transfer.The Kennels Shall Be Open For The Reception And Collection Of Dogs From The Dog Wardens And The Public Five And Half Days Per Week During The Following Time Periods:Monday To Fridays 10.00 – 12.00 And 13.00 – 16.30Hrssaturdays 09.30 – 15.00Hrsexcept For Bank Holidays.To Comply With Section 68 Of The Clean Neighbourhood And Environment Act 2005 The Provider Will Include For The Provision For Members Of The Public To Bring To The Kennels Stray Dogs. The Requirement Of This Service Will Be During Opening Hours As Detailed Above. The Provider Shall Arrange For A Veterinary Surgeon To Treat Any Sick Or Injured Dog Including Emergency Treatments To Stray Dogs. The Council Will Accept Up To A Maximum Of £300.00 Of Treatment Per Dog. Permission From Bcc Must Be Sought Before Any Treatment Is Provided Above This Value. Invoices To Be Submitted Monthly For Any Such Treatment/S.
