Tender For Special Repair To Earthling Infrastructure At Various Location And Provn Of Footpath On Road At Afs Jalahalli ; 1 Supply, installation, testing & commissioning of maintenance free chemicalearthing system in repair comprising of 17mm dia copper bondedrod 3 mtr long horizontally pre welded T-terminal rod with provision for connection size of 50 x 150mm long, 6mm thickness with equal space either side, with 12mm dia hole of 02 numbers each on either side of the terminal clamp with 250 microns (average) coating thickness, tested and certified by CPRI India alongwith 50 Kg earth energizer compound and 10 litres earth resistance reducingliquid. The earthing energizer compound and resistance reducing earthing liquid shall be tested as per IEC-62561-7 read with ASTM G57-06, CI 3.4 A by any NABL accredited lab. The above mentioned rod shall be installed in 4-6 inch bore, 12 feet depth with a distance of minimum 3 meters between each installationcomplete all as specified and directed.Make : Model HTSP 317 of safeTrode or equivalent in OBO Betterman/ FURSE/ERICO. 2 The quoted rate shall also deemed to be included the following :- (i)Prior toinstallation of maintenance free chemicalearthing, soil resistivity test to be carried out at the location where earthingwork to be donein presence of Engr-in- Charge/JE (E/M),user and the report has tosubmitto Garrison Engineer with recommendation of manufacturer, if required additional interconnection ofearthing (not more than 08 number of earthing) to achive earth result less then 1 Ohms. The arrangement done for soil resistivity testingandsubmission of report with recommendationdeemed to be included in the quoted rate. 3 (ii) The description/ size/ qty of items mentioned in above are for indicating only however qty/ size may vary at site condition to maintain the earth resistance 1 ohm. The contractor shall quote rate by considering all factors. 4 (iii) Rateofearth energizer compound of 25 Kg of 02 bags and earthresistance reducingliquid 10 litre per cane for each pit deemed to be included in the quoted rate. 5 (iv)Resistivity of earth energizer compound and resistance reducing earthing liquid shall be certified by any NABL accredited lab carried out as per IEC-62561-7 read with ASTMG57-06, CI-3.4A and the certificate of same shall be submitted by the contractor along with sample approval. 6 (v) Earth enhancing material should not leach into the adjacent soil or underground water channels and its PH value should be in neutral range complete all as specified and as directed. It should solidify when mixed with water and set like concrete. 7 (vi) Copper strip of size 20 x 3 mm (99.99% molecularly copper) shouldbe fixed on proper post insulator at the instrument end ( copper strip upto 7.5 RM will be considered in unit quoted rate and extra will be measured and paid separately). 8 (vii)Testing of earth shall be carriedout in presence ofdepartmental and user representativeand report shall be submitted to Garrison Engineer duly signed by all concerned. 9 (viii)Earth resistance tester will be provided by the contractor.Tester should be calibrated from authorised company/ lab. 10 (ix)Earthing shall be tested after completion of work by the contractor in presence of Engr-in-charge, user and proper record shall be maintained duly signed by all concerned.After testing if the desired earth resistance of less than 1 Ohm is not obtained, the earthing will be redone at no extra cost to Govt. till desired result is obtained. 11 (x) The contractor shall give a written guarantee of minimum three years for maintaining the earth resistance less than 1 Ohm after certified date of completion. 12 (xi) No further maintenance or periodic watering or recharge shall be required in earthing during its guarantee period of over 03 years in all type of soil including soft/ disintegrated or hard rock. 13 (xii) During the guarantee period, if earth resistance is not maintained less than 1 ohm the contractor has to redo or rectify at no extra cost to Govt till desired result is maintained. 14 (xiii) A security deposit of value equal to 2.5 % of the rate quoted for each chemical earthingeach earthing shall be retained from payment due to the contractor from final bill for the guarantee period. 15 (xiv) The electrode shallcarry manufacturer"s name . 16 (xv) The connection clamp shall be permanentlly welded to the copper boundedrodto avoid any kind of connectivity loss,.The pre-welded copper bounded rod shall not need any additional clamp for termination. 17 (xvi) The acceptable earth resistance at earth busbar/ test point shall not be more than 0.1 ohm. 18 (xvii)Earth work such as auguring andmaking good the surrounding area shall carried out in any type of soil. 19 (xviii)The contractor shall submit CPRI India certified document for copper bonded rod to ensure genuity of material along with sample approval. 20 (xix) Sign boardof mild steel 2 mm thick duly painted with two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of red oxideZinc chrome primer showing result of earthing should be fixed near the earth pit after completion as directed . 21 Material and labour for Earth pit cover madeof heavy duty poly plastic of high grade polypropylene tested and certified by any NABL accredited lab for load bearing capacity not less than 7.2 tonnes with top dia not less than 250mm, bottom dia not less than 330 mm and height not less than 260 mm for each electrode pit complete including taking down all as specified and directed. Make : Model SEPC 250 of SAFE TRODE/ Electrogrip Model/ EGTEK3LC of ISG Global or equivalent. Note :- The contractor shall submit load bearing capacity certificate from the manufacturer. 22 S&F Copper strip 20 x 3mm thick (99.99% molecularly copper) as earthing lead fixed to wall/roofs etc including taking down existing one all as directed. NOTE : All Joints should be joined by Exothermic Welding or Brazing. 23 Material and labour as in repair for Earthpit indicator for existing earthing pit made out of 16 mm dia and 60 cm long MS Squre Bar embeded in PCC (1:3:6) type C-1 using 20 mm graded stone agreegate in PCC block of size 30 X30 X30 cm including CI/MS plate of size 250X300X 3 mm thick fixed on side of earth pit cover complete painting and writingover the plate ie. Type , Result, Date of measurement and pit numberwith Black beground with white and complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in -charge. 24 Supply and fixing test point terminal block made of gun metal or phosphorous bronze, size 75mm x 75mm x 25 mm thick, drilled and screwed including 3 Nos. 8 mm dia. 25 mm long hexagonal head screws, including taking down old unserviceable one,complete all as specified and directed. 25 Supply and fixing in repair for aluminium earth continuity conductor or main earthing lead fixed to wall /roof top offor lightning arrester /fixed to poles or any other indicated situation for loop earthing etc. as required for 25 mm x 3 mm thick, aluminium using porcelain clit/post insulators with screw / selfdril GIscrew with rubber washer , complete all as specified and directed. 26 Supply and fixingin repair Air termination, single pointed, alluminium rod 12 mm dia and 300mm longfixed to GI Strip / Alluminium strip including nuts,bolts & washersfor earth conductivity to ground complete all as specified and as directed. 27 Supply and fixingin repair for GI earth continuity conductor or main earthing lead fixed to wall on batten or recess or chases or buried in ground or drawn in conduit/pipe or fixed to poles or any other indicated situation for loop earthing etc. as required for 32 mm x 6 mm thick,Galvanisedusing porcelain clit/post insulators, complete all as specified and directed. 28 Supply and laying in repair copper bonded round conductor rod of 10mm dia for connecting the earthling pits together using exothermic welding joint complete all as specified and directed. 29 Supply and fixingin repair Air termination, single pointed, copper rod 12 mm dia (99.99% molecularly copper) and 300mm longfixed to GI Strip / Alluminium strip including nuts,bolts & washersfor earth conductivity to ground complete all as specified and as directed. 30 Supply and fixingin repair for GI earth continuity conductor or main earthing lead fixed to wall on batten or recess or chases or buried in ground or drawn in conduit/pipe or fixed to poles or any other indicated situation for loop earthing etc. as required for 25 mm x 4 mm thick,Galvanisedusing porcelain clit/post insulators, complete all as specified and directed. 31 Surface excavation n. exc 30 cm deep and averaging 15 cm deep and getting in soft /loose soil and removing the surplus material (Soil) from the site complete all as specified and as directed. 32 M&L Hard core of gauge n.exe.63mm with broken stone boulders, deposited spread and levelled in layers not exe 15 cm thick watered and rolled rammed to a true surfaces complete all as specified and as directed. 33 M&L for 75mm thick cement concrete 1:3:6, type C-2 (using 40mm graded stone aggregate) as in sub base complete all as specified and as directed. 34 M&L for machine pressed pre polished precast concrete interlocking paver block any shape and size confirming to IS 15658-2006 of 80mm thickness, M-40 Grade over sand cushion with grey cement and no pigment complete all as specified and as directed. 35 M & L for Sand filling under floors or in foundations including watering and consolidation all as specified and directed. 36 M&L for precast kerb stone with PCC (1:2:4) type B1 using 20mm graded stone aggregate finished even and fair without using extra cement including demolition ofold kerb stone (un reinforced) of any description and in anypositionnot otherwise specifically provided complete all as specified and directed. 37 Dismantling posts or struts (wood, steel, or RCC) any section, any length n exc 5m including taking out embedded portion in concrete, brick work, masonry etc and all as specified and directed. and incl neccessary excavation for new post holesall as specified and directed. 38 M&L for Cement concrete 1:3:6 type C2 (using 40 mm graded stone agg) as in foundation filling and for mass concreteincluding demolition ofConcrete (un reinforced) of any description and in anypositionnot otherwise specifically provided complete all as specified and directed. . 39 S & FMS angle iron Hand rails, fencing posts, flat iron including embeding in concrete and screwing etc. wind ties for roof including securing bolts;posts and struts in fencing including cutting tops to shape as directed, drilling holes, notching for wire, etc.; flat iron fillets (for securing wire mesh etc.) including all necessary drilling, bolting or riveting, etc., and similar work conforming to Fe-290 Gde E-165 complete all as specified and directed. 40 Dismantling of existing fencing wire mesh of any type etc..and re-fixingold retrieved fencing in new positionn including line wires, any mesh, size and type to standards, rails, straining bolts, etc inlcuding provision of binding wire and complete all as specified and directed. 41 Supply and fixingMS round bars/strengthening bar 10mm dia & over cut to length bent to shape required and fixed with necessary arrangement as per site reqiurementquality confirming to Fe-410W(grade E-250)Quality A or Fe 290 (gde-E-165) all as specified and directed. 42 M & L Providing two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of red oxide primer on steel surfaces over 10 cm width or girth including preparation of new steel surfaces all as specified and directed. 43 Supply and fixingFlat iron welded or jointed in connection with framed work including securing bolts and all necessary drilling, bolting or reverting and similar work conforming to Fe-410-0 complete all as specified and directed 44 Supply and fixing chain link of MS galvanised fencing any size or typeincluding line wires, any mesh, size and type to standards, rails, straining bolts and necessary MS round bar as per site requirement complete all as specified and directed. Note :- An amount of Rs 275490.00 on account of credit schedule for schedule "A" part II shall be deducted from the total amount of BOQ to arrive at the contract sum.
