The Planning Services Serve The Goal Of Constructing A Replacement Weir In The Spree Canal, Where A Fish Changing System (Fwa) Can Be Retrofitted. The Location Is Centrally Located In The City Center. The Water Level Difference Between Upper And Lower Water Is Approx. 1.5 M. The Maximum Discharge (Hq 100) Is Approx. 40 M³/S, The Average Discharge Is Approx. 8 M³/S. The Weir Is Listed In The Berlin Monument List. Ammunition Contamination Is To Be Expected. Because It Is Currently Not Foreseeable Which Solution Will Later Be The Most Sensible For Improving Ecological Continuity (Öd) On The Spree Canal, The New Replacement For The Spree Canal Weir Should Be Designed In Such A Way That It Should Be Possible To Retrofit A Fish Changing System That Is Tailored To A Need That Will Be Determined Later Is.
