Transport Services (Excl. Waste Transport) – Transportation Of The Deceased. With This Request For Tenders, The Vantaa And Kerava Welfare Area (Hereafter The Client) Requests An Offer For The Transportation Of The Deceased To The Cold Storage Facilities Of The Vantaa And Kerava Welfare Area. Transports Also Include Trips To Medical Autopsies To Helsinki And Transport Of Several Deceased Between Different Morgues, As Well As Transfer Transport Of Individual Deceased From Another Welfare Area To The Morgues Of Vantaa And Kerava Welfare Areas Or For Medical Autopsies To Helsinki. The Competition Does Not Apply To Transportation Of The Deceased Ordered By The Police. The Estimated Number Of Shipments Annually Is Approximately 600. The Customer Does Not Commit To Specific Purchase Quantities. The Customer Chooses One (1) Service Provider And One (1) Backup Service Provider For The Contract Period. The Contract Period Is 1 March 2025 – 28 February 2027. The Contract Can Be Extended For Two (2) One (1) Year Option Periods. The Service Must Be Implemented In Accordance With The Legislation In Force At Any Given Time. Transporting A Corpse Is Only Permitted In A Vehicle Reserved For That Purpose (Health Protection Decree 1280/1994, Vehicle Act 82/2021 And Car Tax Act 777/2020). Only A Vehicle Reserved For This Service Or A Vehicle That Is Also Used For Other Funeral Transports Is Used For Transportation. The Transport Vehicle Must Be Equipped With The Necessary Equipment For Transporting The Deceased. The Transport Of The Deceased Must Take Place With Dignity And With Appropriate Means Of Transport Reserved For The Purpose. The Person Responsible For The Transport Must Have Appropriate Experience In Moving The Deceased, He Or She Must Ensure That The Transfer Takes Place With Dignity And Respect For The Deceased. Transport Of The Deceased To The Medical Autopsy To Helsinki Or Back Takes Place According To The Agreed Schedule. The Transport Of Several Deceased Persons Between Different Cold Storage Rooms Takes Place According To The Agreed Schedule. The Transfer Of The Deceased Is Carried Out Entirely By The Service Provider, The Subscriber Does Not Participate In The Transfers. The Service Provider Acquires The Necessary Support Staff And Is Responsible For The Support Staffs Professional Skills, And Takes Care Of All The Necessary Transport Equipment At Its Own Expense, E.G. Gloves And Personal Protective Equipment. The Deceaseds Information Is Recorded In The System Indicated By The Subscriber On The Service Providers Mobile Device At The Time Of The Event. The Customer Prepares The Deceased For Transport, E.G. A Lifting Sheet Is Always Placed Under The Deceased. The Service Provider May Not Transport A Deceased Who Has Not Been Properly Prepared For Transport. Personnel Participating In The Transport Of The Deceased Must Be Dressed Appropriately, In Dark-Colored Clothes. All Persons Involved In The Transport Have An Absolute Duty Of Confidentiality. Photographing The Dead Is Strictly Prohibited. Only A Person Employed By The Service Provider Can Participate In Transportation And Transfer.
