In The Context Of This Award Procedure, This Includes The Entire Retaining Wall In The Unterlimpurger Straße And Haalsteige Street Sections. The Renovation Of The Haalsteige Retaining Wall With The Road Sections Of Unterlimpurger Straße / Haalsteige Above It Is A Challenge In Terms Of Planning And Execution. The Retaining Wall Is Difficult To Access From The Cooker Side Or Is Located In The Area Of The Base Of The Wall Directly On The Bed Of The Cooker. In Addition, Residential Properties Are Accessible Via Unterlimpurger Straße. There Are Also Pipes And A Drainage Channel In The Street Cross Section. The Haalsteige Retaining Wall Is Located Southeast Of The Core Area Of The City Of Schwäbisch Hall In The Direction Of Steinbach. Locally The Course Can Be Described As Follows. The Wall Begins Immediately On Unterlimpurger Straße After The Schwäbisch Hall Municipal Utility Building And Ends Immediately At The Gatehouse At Neuenstetter Straße 36 In Steinbach. It Secures The Jump In Terrain That Was Created By The Cut During The Construction/Expansion Of Unterlimpurger Straße And Haalsteige Towards The Kocher River. The Approximately 600 Year Old Wall (Or Parts Of It) Was Built I. W. Made From Shell Limestone That Comes From Quarries Or Ruins In The Immediate Area. Experience Has Shown That The Limestone In The Surrounding Area Does Not Have A Particularly High Level Of Strength And Is Susceptible To All Kinds Of Erosion. The Retaining Wall Generally Consists Of: W. Made Of Cuboid And Broken Shell Limestone And Concrete. Pillar Templates Are Arranged At Regular Intervals And Are Made Of Processed Ashlar Stones (And Concrete) Almost Seamlessly And With An Inclination, For Example. H. Of Approx. 75° Are Made. Not Only Is Extensive Ivy Growth Covering A Large Part Of The Wall, But Numerous Bushes And Trees Have Also Penetrated Their Roots Deep Into The Sometimes Seamless Masonry. With A Length Of Around 440 M, It Is Around 2.5 M To 13.5 M High. Below The Visible Part Of The Wall Is The Terrain That Slopes Down To The Kocher With An Inclination Of Up To Approx. 70°. For Orientation Purposes, The City Of Schwäbisch Hall Had A Positioning Measured. For This Purpose, Positioning Nails Were Driven In At Intervals Of 10 M In The Sidewalk Area, Starting At The Property Boundary To The Building At Unterlimpurger Straße 88 (Parcel 217/3). These End At The Beginning Of Neustetter Straße. The Haalsteige Retaining Wall Is Not Listed. The Historic Appearance Of The Wall Should Be Largely Preserved Through The Renovation. During The Renovation, Appropriate Replacement Stones Are Adapted In Format, Color And Structure To The Location/Installation Site And Its Surroundings. As Part Of The Renovation, Damaged Bricks Will Be Replaced And Deformed Areas Of Masonry Will Be Removed And Reinstalled In A Force-Fitting Manner. With Regard To Stability, Necessary Safety Elements (Floor Seams) Must Be Installed
