No4Bathinda as directed by Principal. 170 Supply and laying or fixing or laid in trenches/ ducts/ through pipes/ in floors / underroads/ hard standing /along poles and testing LT cable XLPE, PVC insulated screened,bedded, galvanised steel strip or wire armourd cable(heavy duty) 1100 volt gradewith aluminium conductor having cross sectional area 35 Sqmm3.50 coreconforming to IS-7098 (Part-I -1988) complete allas specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. (Excavation and earth work, sand cushioning & GI pipe shall be measured and paid for separately) 171 Material andLabour sand cushioning, with dry and clean fine river sand for underground cable 8 cm before laying cable and 15 cm after laying and punned to 18 cm after laying of cablecomplete all as specified.(Note:- Punned thickness shall be considered for payment purpose) 172 Supply and laying Best quality, locally available, sub class ‘B’ burnt clay bricks (Old Size) for cable protection , laid flat and dry in trenches over the cable , perpendicular to the direction of cable complete allas specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. 173 Material and labour in replacementfor Earthing complete with galvanised iron earth plate electrode of size 60cm x 60cm x 6mm buried directly in ground (earth pit not less than 2.25 mtr deep below ground level ) with top edge of the plate not less than 1.5 metre below normal ground level, connected to and including earth continuity GI wire 4 mm (upto test point from earth plate i.e. 7.5m min) by means ofGI bolts/nuts/washersand including protected by 15mm dia GI light grade protection pipe from earth plate to test point, including making of test point. Earth plate shall be surrounded by packed layer of char coal/coke & salt all around bottom and top with alternative layer. 20mm GI mediumgrade pipe for watering (should be 10cm above GL) and including socket, plug, funnel, wire mesh, RCC cover and (including steel for cover) PCC (1:2:4) type B1 (using 20 mm graded stone aggregate) including necessary form work, excavation and earth work in any type ofsoil , returning filling and disposal of surplus soil to a distance not exceeding 50m,complete all as specified & shown in electrical plate No. 3 ofSSR 2009 (Part-I) complete all as specified and and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.Note:- (i) PCC chamber shall be constructed at least 1.5 metre away from the earth electrode and pipe for watering shall be provided in slanting manner. (ii) The earth testing arrangement should be done by the contractor as per direction of Engineer-in-charge. 174 Supply and Fixing 15mm bore Brass chromium plated Sink mixture, connecting legs and wall flange complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. 175 Supply and Fixing Aluminium anodised barrel tower bolt of extruded section 100mm long complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. 176 Note:- The contract sum shall be calculated by deducting the amount shown in Credit Schedule attached to this tender from total amount of Schedule A/BOQ
