Construction Work – 6.14.1.20. T02 – Restoration, Renovation And Extension Of The Brussels Conservatory - Works Contract - Open Procedure. The Restoration, Renovation And Extension Of The Royal Conservatory Of Brussels Is A Real Challenge. The Objective Is To Bring Together – On A Site With Very High Heritage Value – A Fairly Ambitious Program Including Several Music Schools, A Prestigious Library And Three Concert Halls. The Conservatory Of Tomorrow Will Make It Possible To Preserve The Culture Of Music But Also To Produce It And Make It Public. The Project Includes The Restoration And Renovation Of Existing High-Value Buildings On The Site (Cluysenaar Conservatory, Houses Of The Director And Secretary, Houses Of Rue Aux Laines) And The Creation Of New Contemporary Volumes That Can Accommodate Functions With Technical Requirements , Significant Acoustic And Thermal. The Unbuilt Space Becomes The Binder Of The Architectural Proposal. Landscaping - Made Up Of Different Gardens - Provides Light And Air To The Site And Connects The Different Buildings. These Are Pleasant Green Oases Located In A Cultural Cosmopolitan Site. Furthermore, The Ambitions In Terms Of Sustainability And Circularity Are Materialized By The Awarder Through Its Inclusion In A Breeam Bespoke Certification Process, The Objective Being To Achieve At Least The “Very Good” Level.
